@ThePoniExpress It just never feels like a good idea to say “hey, this other team doesn’t think this guy is good, not even a top 5-6 receiver on their team, but let’s give him a shot over the guy that we don’t think is great”. I would rather ride it out w Roman than sign one of these guys
@_Luke_Anthony_@fluffynfl I mean we can’t find graphics that support the opposite. I’ll give you that he was banged up, that definitely didn’t help. Also I did address the receiver thing. Baker had egbuka who had a great rookie season, Mike Evans played half the season and Godwin played the second half.
@DennisMurphy3@MarkKaboly I’m not as old as you are but I don’t think that defeats my argument. Older players were great but the access that modern players have to better training, nutrition, strategy still gives them a clear edge. Like Oneil Cruz who older fans hate on would terrorize the 90s
@FAmmiranteTFJ Last year Maye and Stafford were very cheap. They gave you a much better chance of winning than Allen even though he was QB1. I agree that the round 7-9 window is really nice but I don’t think it’s fair to say you can’t hit on a later QB and win your league.
@DennisMurphy3@MarkKaboly I can’t tell if you’re being serious or mocking me… would be pretty funny if you’re mocking me given that your original comment was saying players today weren’t as good. But yes, I’m saying modern players are much better than in 1999.
@_Luke_Anthony_@fluffynfl His numbers last year were significantly worse lol. Which is the one year that you can say this about. And T Law had a bad O Line, was missing hunter the second half of the season and had injured BTJ. Baker had a better receiving group for most of the season lol.
@RyanJConstable@SleeperNFL Could definitely bite me but it’s what I’m sticking with. There’s also no chance you were gonna agree in the first place as an eagles fan
@DomDiTommaso What compensation could we get for this? If it’s something good I’d rather see Tomlin coach again. Ironically it could be our ticket to finally getting a high draft pick
@SundayToSundayy@SleeperNFL Even if he stays healthy I don’t see him returning on his adp. Was a bust last year as a round 3 or 4 pick on an elite efficiency offense. Would be way more into him if he was at an adp closer to last year but I feel like he’s being drafted at his ceiling essentially
@Maynatd69_99@MinkahBurgh39 Go watch every Joey snap from that game. He actually played really well. We just happened to have a terrorist at defensive coordinator.
@Brian41243@ZPSteelers2 I love Ben but it’s clear he isn’t super tapped into the current league. Last year in a preview for the Seahawks game he didn’t even know their QB/who their receivers were. I trust his game wisdom but not as much the logistical moves of the current game
@sickpodsteelers@BleacherReport@MikedUpSports1@JYorkFootball Joey remains the most disrespected star in the league. While he isn’t the best cb in the league he’s in the elite tier and giving him top money will become top 10 money in just a couple of years so worth in imo. If we trade him is better be for a 1st+.
