@Keg767 The main issue in Australia though is about housing and the lack of it let alone the price. NG/CGT was brought in eons ago to encourage growth. These days it’s been used to build wealth at the expense of lower income earners. Hopefully these changes will give Aussies a fairer go.
@CrakerJackShad@Keg767 But he only (or they if combined income) pays 47% income tax on the amount that’s over $190k (I think). So if he earns $191k he pays 47% tax on that $1k. That said, if you earn that much you can afford an accountant to make your income look less by claiming work related expenses.
