Unilever / Magnum stopped Ben & Jerry’s from creating a flavor for Palestine — so I’m doing it
myself.
I’ve got a watermelon, an empty pint, and I need your help:
Name the flavor or suggest ingredients
Or design the pint packaging
Tag @yobencohen, @MagnumGlobal use #JusticeforPalestine to submit
Use your voice when Ben & Jerry’s can’t — to secure peace, justice, and dignity in Palestine

Hannah Einbeinder on saying “Free Palestine” during her #Emmys acceptance speech:

“It is my obligation as a Jewish person to distinguish Jews from the state of Israel because our religion and our culture is such an important and long-standing institution that is really separate to this sort of ethnonationalist state.”

Unpopular opinion: this was one of, if not the best, visual performance of the night. The artistry was intricate & visually captivating. But, it felt like she wasn’t *ON* the charm just wasn’t there for me. Something about her energy felt lackluster.

🚨 BREAKING: After far-right influencer @lauraloomer raged online about a few severely injured Palestinian children arriving in the U.S. for life-saving medical interventions, the State Department announced it has suspended all visitor visas for individuals from Gaza.

On Twitter, the State Department indicated no more children in urgent need of medical treatment will be allowed into the U.S. “while it conducts a full and thorough review of the process and procedures used to issue a small number of temporary medical-humanitarian visas in recent days.”

Loomer had tagged Secretary Rubio and the department in a series of frenzied posts yesterday, demanding wounded Palestinian children be barred from receiving medical care in the U.S. The videos she highlighted shared the work of HEAL Palestine, a U.S.-registered nonprofit that arranges specialized, life-saving care for severely injured children from Gaza—children who cannot receive adequate treatment locally—and has brought dozens to U.S. hospitals so far.

@elizabethbelsky As someone who attended private school for a majority of my formative years and socialized w/ several homeschooled kids, I hard agree. I think in rare cases there should be exceptions but overall kids need to be amongst a sea of peers and taught in-person by trained educators.

In many species it’s usually the male creatures who are more colorful/eye-catching in order to attract their female counterparts. So why the heck does this not apply to humans?? I can pass by 100 gorgeous women in a day but only 1 beautiful man…MAYBE

They deported a Black American to Jamaica and folks are still like “I don’t see how this affects me.” I just have to concede that some of you are lost. You won’t acknowledge a threat until it’s you or your family members in shackles being sent to a country you’ve never been to.

Ok. I’m back.

I don’t care if you don’t want to hear this; overturning Roe v. Wade is an erosion of women’s rights and reinforces this absurd, backwards notion that women shouldn’t be allowed to be in control of their own bodies. If you DON’T think that’s absurd and backwards, fuck you.
