A Baltimore-based #medtech startup has developed a smart stethoscope. But it does much more than amplify sounds! We got a #behindthescenes look inside @SonaviLabs to see how it all works. Learn about it on @wbaltv11 this evening!
Supporting LGBTQ youth costs you nothing, but could mean the world to them. Creating affirming spaces and community support can start with just one person and could literally save a life. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
I’m proud to announce the release of The @TrevorProject's 2022 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health today. This #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, let's raise awareness.

Check out some of the cool (non-medical) stuff that I’ve been working on this fall. Really exciting experience teaching Musical Acoustics @george_peabody and applying our research with some incredibly talented students.

“We can act collectively to create the country’s first Equitech city — anchored in the shared belief that entrepreneurship is the key to our city’s growth, & diversity is a force multiplier.” Great article by local leaders, including my fabulous cofounder. https://t.co/MKTYw59fQ9
I’ve never quite understood the Musk fanaticism. He consistently over promises on tech and under delivers on timeline. I’m not sure his Tesla Bot announcement will be any different, esp. with the mountain of challenges in front of him. Happy to be wrong, but remaining skeptical..
Simple and inexpensive yet sophisticated and elegant solution to a big global health problem. Maybe one day I’ll find a practical use for all the candy that I eat…
Too often, it's easy for academics to hide behind jargon. An old mentor once told me that a good scientist is able to get ground-breaking results. Only a great scientist is able to explain why they are ground-breaking to a group of kids and have them understand it.
Academia puts too much emphasis on sounding intelligent as a metric of success. Meanwhile, there are people changing the world by leading with kindness and empathy. All this is to say your degree means nothing if you can’t back it up with some humanity.

@FastForward_U As an entrepreneur from Hopkins, I know the struggle of looking for capital as a student and the immeasurable impact even a small amount can make early on in the startup journey. I'm so happy to see more options available for students at critical moments of their ventures!
📢 Fellow @JohnsHopkins alums! Today is #OneHopkins giving day. Help support Hopkins by donating directly to the areas of JHU you are most passionate about. https://t.co/uYN8Qcxj9S
This year, I donated to the Ignite Fund @FastForward_U, a new initiative which provides fast, flexible micro-grants to early student entrepreneurs. Did you know the average ask from student entrepreneurs is $700? A little bit goes a long way! https://t.co/Voh7blxG3p
