I sincerely think the acolytes of Donald Trump are one of the great unsolved mysteries of my lifetime. We have a man who has raped women and children, but millions of women & men – including pastors and preachers – who claim to love Jesus love him. We have a man who has been outspokenly racist in both word and action his entire life and yet millions of people of various colors and ethnicities other than what we consider “white” support him. And we have his grifting business deals, his bankruptcies, his admiration for Hitler, his pals Vlad & the Arabs bankrolling him and despite his calling our enlisted personnel “suckers and losers”we have men and women in military families loving convicted felon Donald Trump.

What’s happened to the character of America? Sure, we’re always going to have racists and we’re always going to have misogynists and we’re always going to have idiot men who feel they can’t be men without a gun or three and yes, though it pains me to say it we’re always going to have women willing to be victims. But I do not understand what confluence of history and events has brought us to this point.
Dumbing down the educational system didn’t hurt but still you can’t square Trump with patriotism, Jesus, justice, equality, in any rational way.

However, now with #Project2025 we see at least where a good bit of the money is coming from and why and if all this doesn’t scare the shit out of you enough to #VoteBlue there’s something wrong with you too. Because Trump is only going to be a figurehead. He’s going to say the ugly things and do the ugly things y’all enthusiastically applaud while behind the curtain the people really running this shitshow will be doing whatever it is they do to make sure that we’re all going to be living in a gulag from hell some fine morning when we wake up and least expect it.
I have no answers and I haven’t solved anything, but I sure feel a whole lot better just for having said it for the 354th time this year –
and we’re only a little more halfway through it.
