I had a dilemma when i first saw this. On one hand, there's this probably deranged person who deserved what he was getting for his choice plus an innocent animal who was doing what his instincts told it to. On the other hand, here is this person, made in the image of God who deserves protection. I would choose the difficult choice of saving the man over beast.
