Abdul Naeem spent ₹20 lakh from his own pocket to build a school to educate Dalit & tribal children in his village.
On Saturday, officials said, "All the documents are in order, but get a NOC from the panchayat." But when the NOC was obtained from the panchayat. The SDM remained adamant and insisted on demolishing the building.
When they met the Collector, accompanied by Congress leader Hemant Wagadre, and pleaded that all the documents were complete and the NOC had been obtained from the panchayat, and that there was no longer any dispute, the Collector said, "They want to do something as sacred as education through illegal means..."

While this discussion was going on, the school building was being demolished. Currently, the Collector and the SDM are not willing to speak to the media on this issue, nor are they issuing any official statement.

I strongly condemn the shameful and unacceptable treatment meted out to our Members of Parliament. Dragging elected representatives on the streets for exercising their democratic right to protest outside the Home Minister’s office is not law enforcement - it is arrogance in uniform. This is a democracy, not the BJP’s private property.

Democracy does not function on the convenience or comfort of those in power. When BJP leaders protest, they expect red carpets and special privileges. When opposition MPs raise their voices, they are dragged, detained, and humiliated. This double standard exposes the BJP’s idea of democracy - obedience, not dissent.

Let it be clear: respect is mutual. You respect us, we respect you. You drag us on the road, and we will drag you back to the constitutional idea of tolerance, dissent, and democratic morality. This is our India. We are citizens by right, not at the mercy of a chair, a badge, or a position of power. Update: The guy in the video, Deepak Singh Chauhan narrating the incident to local media turned out to be one of the accused who was arrested by the police.
During interrogation, the accused Deepak stated that they studied in the same college as the victim, Farhad Ali. Farhad Ali excelled in his studies and consistently scored higher than them, and that they were jealous of him. He took petrol from a motorcycle parked in the college and, as Farhad Ali's exam ended, He (Deepak) and Aaroosh alias Ayush alias Anurag began descending. Near the stairs, Deepak poured petrol on Farhad Ali from behind, and Aaroosh alias Ayush alias Anurag set him on fire with a lighter.
