Hey all #amquerying in the #WritingCommunity: want a free query critique? I'm starting a #SaturdaySips segment on my blog for query help--just know your note and my comments will be posted (your name redacted, obvi). I've spent 10y in writing & 3 in #publishing. Link in bio!
#WritingCommunity did you guys set goals or resolutions for the New Year? How are you sticking to them two weeks in? Respond with a GIF or otherwise. Here's how I'm gearing up for more research #amwriting#amrevising
@JaymeElliott23 Rereading the manuscript I stepped away from to tackle a new project for #NaNoWriMo 😁 not writing particularly but getting back into the draft.
@ohiowa89 I would rather:
1. Write about elves
2. Cocoa
3. Sugar cookies
4. Write by the fire so long as I don’t have to tend it.
5. Someone else can decorate. I have too many books to read.
Sending love to all the writers, agents, and editors getting rejected during this fine time of year as publishing rushes to clear out their boxes in preparation for 2020.
💔
Also sending love to the poor souls sending those rejections whether they want to or not. December stinks.
Here's a thing I've learned:
The terrible thing about [publishing a book/getting your dream job/starting a new relationship] is you wake up the next morning and you're still you. If you're not happy where you're at, no external accomplishment is going to change that.
@stephenablack Olivia I got my first pair of glasses when I was 2. They’re a way to highlight your beautiful personality and style and you’ll love them as you grow. People will believe you’re wicked smart and you’ll get loads of respect. I switched to contacts but still wear mine all the time
Hillary had a bad cold and the media was fitting her for a coffin.
Trump is rushed to Walter Reed on a Saturday, transparently lies about why, then cancels all his events by 9am on Sunday and no one's talking about his health.
This is what institutional misogyny looks like.
