If there is any nip off the wicket, you wouldn't want to face these four wobble-seam merchants.

An appreciation post on Scott Boland ๐จ
Scott Boland only got in the test side in the 2021/22 Ashes series on account of his performances in the 2 Sheffield Shield games.
He made his test debut only cause Josh Hazlewood was injured at the time and Jhye Richardson was rested for the MCG Test. People back in Australia were skeptical on his selection in the 11.
Scott Boland was told by the captain Pat Cummins and Headcoach Andrew McDonald that this would be a one off test match for him with Hazlewood expected to be back.
He made his debut and had figures of 48/1 in 13 overs. Nothing too spectacular.
Australia had a lead of 82 runs and after that he came on to bowl to deliver a spell for the ages taking 7/6 in an astonishing spell of seam bowling which left the English batters utterly clueless.
That single spell of exceptional seam bowling changed the entire perception of Scott Boland the bowler and at 32 years of age proved to the cricketing world age is not a number. He became a hero and an overnight sensation. There has been no turning back since then.
He is someone who doesn't crave for attention nor limelight. He comes, does his work in silence and leaves.
From a potential one test wonder to now having played 20 tests taken 84 wickets at an average of 18.20 and ER of 2.85 is simply extraordinary.
Scott Boland definitely deserves a statue at the 'G' at the end of his career.
A true competitor. Mind you he was dropped from the Victoria squad just a couple of years before he made his test debut. He was contemplating retiring from professional cricket for good but with the support of his friends and family worked on his fitness, stamina and becoming a beast after that.
Scott Boland is a total workhorse and knows the art on how to exploit pitches which are conducive for pace bowling when others seem to struggle.
Well done Scotty B! A true inspiration for the young and old! ๐ซก
