Law does not have "simple formats". Lawyers do not (or aren't supposed to) fill in proforma.

AIlahabad High Court orders police protection for a house threatened with bulldozer action in the case related to offering of Namaz in a private property.

A Bench led by Justice Sreedharan orders 24×7 armed police protection for the owner of the house.

The Bench warns that any incident of violence that afflicts Hassen Khan or his property shall be prima facie understood to have occurred at the instance of the State. The District Magistrate and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bareilly, have also been directed to remain present on the next date of hearing.

I’m stunned to see some tweets claiming it’s just a discharge, not an acquittal 😂😂

A discharge from a case means there isn’t even enough evidence or grounds worth putting the accused on trial. An acquittal, on the other hand, comes only after a full trial.

I hope this clarifies what’s actually worse for the investigating agencies.

No. This is being economical with the truth.Miya means miya. A Bengali speaking Muslim in Assam is a Miya. There is now Miya poetry of protest. A more precise statement: All modern humans have an unbroken lineage of about 300,000 years going back to Africa. All Indians carry a genetic lineage going back about 60,000 years to the arrival of the Out of Africa migrants. All Indians also carry the genetic lineage of the people who would go on to build the Harappan Civilization, a mix of the Out of Africa migrants and later migrants from ancient Iran, going back to perhaps 7,000 years ago. Most Indian population groups also carry the genetic lineage of the Steppe migrations from Central Asia between 2000-1500 BCE that brought Indo-European languages to the subcontinent, as also the East Asian migrations that brought Austro-Asiatic languages after 2000 BCE. Dishonesty and shamelessness define Himanta Biswa Sarma’s politics.

He has stooped so low that he is misusing the name of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

He claims to rely on the Hon’ble Court’s “own words” from the case of Sarbananda Sonowal. This is a blatant lie.

The language he quotes is not the Supreme Court’s. The Hon’ble Court neither authored the said words nor adopted it. To pass off an executive report as judicial pronouncement is a deliberate contempt.

For a Chief Minister holding a constitutional office to falsely attribute words to the Hon’ble Supreme Court is not just contemptuous, it is an assault on constitutional propriety and institutional integrity.

The Hon’ble Supreme Court may take cognisance of the remarks of Himanta Biswa Sarma that violate the Constitution and falsely attribute to the Court.

One would expect a CM not to pass off a 1998 Governor’s report—merely cited in a judgment—as the Supreme Court’s “own words”. But perhaps that expectation itself assumes a fidelity to constitutional morality that is sadly absent.

Those who are attacking me for my remarks on “Miyan”—a word used in Assam in the context of Bangladeshi Muslim illegal migration—should pause and read what the Supreme Court of India itself has said about Assam. This is not my language, not my imagination, and not political exaggeration. These are the Court’s own words:

“The silent and invidious demographic invasion of Assam may result in the loss of the geostrategically vital districts of lower Assam… The influx of illegal migrants is turning these districts into a Muslim majority region… It will then only be a matter of time when a demand for their merger with Bangladesh may be made… Loss of lower Assam will sever the entire land mass of the North East from the rest of India and the rich natural resources of that region will be lost to the Nation.”

When the highest constitutional court of the country uses words like “demographic invasion” and warns of the possible loss of territory and national unity, acknowledging that reality is neither hatred nor communalism, nor is it an attack on any community. It is a recognition of a grave and long-standing problem that Assam has lived with for decades.

Our effort is not against any religion or any Indian citizen. Our effort is to protect Assam’s identity, security, and future, exactly as the Supreme Court cautioned the nation to do. Ignoring that warning would be the real injustice—to Assam and to India.

In a debate of "does God Exist"

Javed Akhtar: There is atleast 10 religions and every religion has its own God, Now if you believe in one God and you're not believing in another 9 then you're only 10% right about existence of God.

But if you start with questioning God's existence and simply think God may be there or may not be there I will not believe in his existence unless it's proved then your probability of being correct is 50%. You decide which side you're on.

Hello @KirenRijiju, Several users from across the country are complaining of intermittent issues with the Umeed portal since the last couple of days.
1. People are not able to open the umeed portal.
2. People are not able to register to the Umeed portal. ( Registration OTPs not being received)
3. Registered users are not able to submit details because of Umeed portal UI issues.
