Morning @DavidLammy,
I am going to message every single day that Crown Court courtrooms are closed not sitting and you still keep pretending that’s it’s juries that are holding up the CJS. Now, today we have 78 out of the 516 courtrooms NOT sitting. What you doing about it?

Gooners. I need your help. My brother travelled to Paris last night via a supporters coach for tonight's game.
About 10am, he was on the phone to his daughter as his wife was not answering the phone. She had to break the news to him that her Mum (his wife) had died some time this morning.
This is where I need your help. An Arsenal fan who was with their group heard what had happened. He got my brother on a Eurostar home and insisted on paying for it. Whilst my brother was grieving, someone was there to help him. I need to know who it was. I need to repay him, or at least thank him. As a family, we are grieving, but knowing someone has done this warms your heart.
If he wants to remain anonymous, that's fine. He didn't do it for publicity. We want to know who it was and thank him. You have no idea what you have done for my brother.
If anyone can help, please let me know
@BSUH_icu what an atrocious state of affairs!! my wife has been waiting 40 minutes just to find out how a relatives operation went today. Nobody can be bothered to pick up the 'phone This is NOT a service to the public.
@PoliceChiefs ...and what will YOUR members being doing?.. enjoying a family Christmas I expect.. it would be nice if a few more of you got off your arses and visited your troops today...it would be much appreciated.
BREAKING: British Transport Police have released a picture of a man in connection with an attempted abduction of a child on a train

@theJeremyVine Well done @SurreyPolice public safety first and foremost!. Officers should be commended for decisive action. Rather that than facing the enivitable enquiry about how they let a member of the public get hurt.
@harrydoyle96@UKLabour@AngelaRayner Oh Harry! I think you mean she's been keeping her head down during campaigning. She's waiting, slowly licking her lips, waiting for Sir K to make the first slip up (and he will!) and then she'll make her move. On the plus side, she'll be Labour's first woman PM.
@BBCPanorama well, I hope the next interviewee will be given more time to explain thier policies. Robinson just threw a load of sweeping statements which had to be corrected by the PM so reduced the time to hear about the actual policies. Needs a much better BBC interviewer!
Count Binface announces he's standing in Richmond against Rishi Sunak – though still not at ease among humans, the power-hungry candidate from another world said he looked forward to meeting Binface
I dont belive what im hearing here, this is a matter of public safety, not Jewishness. Maybe they should have let the individual through then see what would have happened #politicslive
Ok you’re working a #PublicOrder event for the first time in London on mutual aid and you get called over to reports of an assault…👀
Let’s break it down.
Policing is incredibly difficult to do perfectly.
There are always three sides to every story, yours, theirs and the truth.
Now the whole world has the benefit of hind sight, replays, and often a bigger online picture of different clips and different views of what’s allegedly happened than we ever do at the time it happens on the street.
So you’re stood along the protest route and you’re made aware of an issue, and as you run over a whole crowd of people start yelling at you that someone is responsible for an assault.
You start heading towards the alleged suspect, unaware of who they are and instead of talking to you they react angrily and you have to rely on the allegation given of an alleged assault to take control for the situation and prevent further disorder.
Part of a necessity to arrest can be to protect someone, especially if you believe their behaviour is likely to cause them harm.
Also bearing in mind these Cops aren’t from London, haven’t policed one of these protests before and truly don’t even know where they are.
The person is then arrested for the alleged assault and force is used under S117 PACE because the person is under arrest and subsequently taken to the floor and placed in handcuffs to prevent them from escaping due to their behaviour at the time of arrest.
Simultaneously a member of the public makes officers aware they haven’t been told the whole story.
Being open and transparent the officers conduct a thorough primary investigation and realise that the man arrested is not the aggressor and is subsequently de-arrested immediately at the scene.
Now all of this happens in under an hour, but like many things it’s been filmed from start to finish and those who have, have added their own narrative to what they’ve filmed.
It’s truly a situation where we increasingly can’t win and most Cops have had enough of trying.
The officers have made a lawful arrest in accordance with reasonable grounds to suspect an offence had been committed and once they had concluded an initial investigation establishing the grounds did not exist have de-arrested.
De-arresting is a common occurrence, and is used on a daily basis all across the country.
Thank you to our mutual aid colleagues for their assistance today. It’s truly greatly appreciated. #ThinBlueLine 🚨
"Yesterday I adopted the oldest, sickest, and sorest shelter dog. I'll never forget his eyes. When I went into the cage he didn't even bother to look, he knew I wouldn't even see him.
Curling around the corner He'd accepted his fate. The volunteer said to me many times... Are you sure this one? Are you sure? YES! This is my dog. He opened the cage and 3 animals fell on me. I ran towards him, suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel... I hugged him and told him that now he'll be happy again. Then he sleeps in my lap... probably the first peaceful sleep he ever had.
Give it a life. Give it a hug. They need us."
