A heartening update from Sonitpur.

An injured wild male elephant at Mazgaon, Tengabil, was successfully treated by a veterinary team from WTI-CWRC, BVO Dhekiajuli and the Forest Department.

Following careful examination and treatment, the elephant was safely released and continues to remain under close observation by our frontline forest staff.

I am glad to share that the elephant is presently recovering well.

My appreciation to our veterinarians and forest personnel for carrying out this challenging operation with care and commitment. Protecting every life matters.

On 27/03/2025 at 10 PM, a Hatidepot FPC team led by Bhigumoni Patar,Fr-I spotted two suspects from Arunachal inside Kosubil area, Behali WLS(P).They escaped, but the team recovered a handmade gun & torch. This 4th success reaffirms strict protection measures to protect #BehaliWLS
