@eaton2288 @JoshuaJRoman1 @JimBrowning11@YouTube@YouTubeCreators Us scambaiters aren't superheroes; anyone can fall for a scam, even "obvious" ones. Atomic Shrimp has a good video about the subject, anyone can get scammed, nobody is bulletproof to these tricks.
The one thing the scammers don't realise is that every time they edit the page it publicly displays their IP, which is quite humorous as it can help scambaiters trace them a lot easier in some cases
New interesting tactic i've seen scammers using recently,
They edit @Wikipedia articles just before they show a victim the page, to make it show false information and
This is very dangerous and can trick the victim further, as wikipedia will legitimately show the false info
The changes get reverted in minutes, but since the scammers immediately open it on the victim's pc after changing it, it doesn't prevent the scammer taking advantage of it in time
Our new Tech Support Scammer vs Windows 11 video is out!
We confront him at the end and show him his real location and he gets quite worried, you won't want to miss it!
