LALAKI, INAMING MAY CANCER SIYA SA KANYANG 73-ANYOS NA NANAY

Hindi na napigilang maluha ng 73-anyos na si nanay Beatriz nang aminin ng kaniyang anak na si YouScooper Leocadio, 41, na may cancer ito.

Kuwento ni YouScooper Leocadio, February 2026 pa lang ay nagpapa-check at consult na siya sa mga doctor dahil sa pagiging bloated at biglang pagkirot ng kaniyang tagiliran.

“Noong April 16, sinabi [ng doctor] sa akin ang findings. [Mayroon] akong Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, isang rare and aggressive form ng blood cancer,” sabi ni Leocadio.

Dagdag niya, hindi pa siya sigurado noon kung paano at kailan sasabihin sa kaniyang mama na siya ay may stage 2 cancer pero habang tumatagal daw ay nanghihina na siya kaya napagdesisyunan niyang sabihin na ito.

“Nilalaban ko na lang talaga kasi dalawa na lang kami ni Mama na magkasama sa bahay. Kailangan ko pa tumagal sa mundo at alagaan siya. 73 years old na rin siya at ako ang naaawa kasi siya na ang nag-aasikaso sa’kin."

Nilinaw din ni Leocadio na pinili niyang sa isang restaurant sabihin sa kaniyang nanay ang kaniyang kalagayan “dahil gusto ko maging light lang ang vibe at mabawasan ‘yung bigat ng sitwasyon. Kahit saang lugar ko naman sabihin ay hindi ito komportable at hindi magbabago na ako ay may cancer.”

Sabi ni Leocadio, ikinalungkot ng kaniyang nanay ang balita pero nabigyang-linaw din daw siya kung bakit araw-araw ay pumupunta ng ospital si Leocadio.

Sa ngayon ay sumasailalim pa sa chemotherapy si Leocadio at nagta-trabaho pa rin bilang isang public health nurse. #YouScoop

Longtime jeepney driver Elmer Cordero, more commonly known as Tatay Elmer, has passed away, his family confirmed in a Facebook post.

Cordero was earlier hospitalized during the first day of strike of transport group PISTON.

In 2021, Tatay Elmer was arrested for protesting during the pandemic amid the challenges faced by jeepney drivers amid the lockdown restrictions. | via @josiahvantonio
