@Weather_West@RobMayeda Curious if this synoptic pattern was occurring during peak winter, would there be record cold? Also, is there any scenario with a pattern like this, during peak summer, where it wouldn’t be as hot? Thank you for all you do to keep so many people weather aware! 😎👍💯
@BenNollWeather Although I realize this is a natural process, it’s unsettling to know how much heat the ocean is releasing in to the atmosphere! No doubt global warming contributes to the extreme nature.
@Skog200 Funny! It’s cloudy and cool here this a.m. actually had a “cool” start to summer here, but July and August are usually blast furnace! Regularly over 100 with single digit humidity.
a dull cloudy day here .. so sorting out the front of house display for summer ..its like doing a jigsaw ..without a picture 😁it will all fit somewhere by the end of the weekend 🤞
@Skog200 They are nearly evergreen here in my Mediterranean climate. Cut them way back in winter, and they perform well in the summer heat! 100 f+ here in the summer is pretty much normal! We call them daylilies.
@Weather_West@wxmann Thanks! I will be in southern Utah in early August. I hope the monsoon will get going and can improve conditions there and the entire SW!
@wxmann Having seen my fair share of both moist convective supercells & large pyroCb plumes up close & personal, similarities are often stiking. One big difference is how high intensity fires can essentially generate their own localized severe convective parameter space.
Will @HunterBiden ever follow anyone on X? Got to get it on the prediction market!

Thank you for your leadership regarding addiction recovery. It means a lot to the community!
@doggintrump but with rising fuel prices those numbers do tend to rise faster for the ICE v. EV, as electric generation costs are slower to rise, as gasoline becomes more expensive. People do drive less when fuel prices rise, that makes some advocate for high fuel prices to control emmisions
@doggintrump If you are charging in public, it's about the same per mile to drive an EV v. ICE. Charging at home reduces the cost to about 1/2. These are just averages, but the real benefit, that I applaud you for, is the reduction in green house gasses emitted by an EV is about 1/2 of ICE!
