In learning a language, it will never be
Try. Succeed.
It is
Try. Fail. Learn. Forget. Try again. Fail again. Learn again. Forget again. Learn again. Again and again. And again...
then
Succeed.
PERSISTENCE IS NECESSARY‼️
"Unsubbed anime is useless as a learning resource because I can't understand any of it."
📢🗯️It would be useless as a learning resource if you already understood it‼️
You don't lose anything from not understanding something.
But you *do* lose something from *avoiding* things because you don't understand them yet.
An opportunity to *learn*.
An opportunity to change that.
You only progress by how many times you put yourself in unfamiliar waters.
私の好きな言葉の一つ:
「難しいからやろうとしないのではない。やろうとしないから難しくなるのだ。」セネカ
”It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.”
実に言えてる。やってみると難しくないことってよくある。

Learn to be alone. Eat alone, sleep alone, vibe alone, heal alone. Be so confident that you can bloom without opinions and approvals. And if you ever doubt yourself, always remember who you were and how far you've come.
Things move slowly when learning a new language so it can be easy to take things for granted and forget that your previous self would have regarded your current level as a miracle worthy of rejoicing.
I spent much of my 20’s working towards goals often without pausing to be in the present. Always transfixed on the next thing.
Make sure if you’re an over-ambitious goal-driven maniac you appreciate every day for what it is. Missing the present moment is time you won’t get back.
The comforting thing is, success is pretty inevitable.
Put enough time into anything and you'll get results.
It's just never as fast as you want it to be.
That's why you should choose to be good at something you can see yourself doing everyday for the rest of your life.
The process of learning a language in itself, not necessarily learning and speaking better, is beneficial to happiness and wellbeing. You don't have to be good at a language to gain the benefits from learning it. - Fascinating talk about languages & psychology by @LaraWarmelink
