Extremely concerning to see @NICEComms advising all BAME people with healthy pregnancies are induced @ 39 weeks. Black people are 4x more likely to die in childbirth & induction increases their risks of iatrogenic harm even further so this will actually worsen their outcomes?#BLM

I’m overjoyed at the news 3rd yr student nurses can opt into paid extended clinical placement but why are student midwives forgotten? They work with Covid+ people all day too. Where’s their recognition, pay & death in service protection? Another example of #butnotmaternity ?
