Valid points raised by a Meitei woman (Shrimati Th Sujata Devi, Convenor, Imagi Meira) on behalf of the woman of the Meitei youth, Luwangthem Mukesh, a resident of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai in Imphal West, who has been untraceable since March 16:

1. Even amid President's rule in the state alongside the presence of security forces, a possible abduction of a Meitei youth has taken place. And now the authorities dodge questions regarding the measures adopted to bring back the youth unharmed.

2. When Amit Shah has announced free movement in Manipur, it isn't the fault of the young guy in question to roam around in places within the state. After all, he has not encroached the territory of a foreign country like Bangladesh, Pakistan or China. Isn't Manipur a part of Bharat?

3. The demand for imposition of PR in the state as raised by the Kukis has been fulfilled. And yet they continue their onslaughts on the Meiteis.

4. How could the Indian establishment allow the abduction of the Meitei youth?

5. A 24-hour deadline has been set the for authorities to locate him, warning of intensified agitation if no breakthrough was made.

6. Of what use is the deployment of a large number of central security personnel in Manipur, if they fail to trace the missing youth up till now?

7. The valley people have given up arms and ammunition, why is the other group (referring to the Kukis) not being pressured to submit theirs?

8. Why are there no consequences for perpetrators (Kuki VVs) who routinely create hostage situations by capturing Meiteis from the Imphal Valley? Such discriminatory designs favour Kuki militants and exacerbate the situation.

Background: Mukesh, who was driving a car, went missing from Old Cachar Road—a bypass route from Bishnupur Bazar towards Khoupum. CCTV footages show his car crossed Bishnupur Bazar, bordering Churachandpur district at around 3:40 pm.

Kuki village of Zoujangtek lies in this route where Hemanjit and Linthoi went missing on July 6 2023—it was later revealed from viral videos and photos that the minors were tortured mercilessly and the girl was raped before both of them were brutally murdered and buried inside Zoujangtek Kuki village.

Fears intensified within the community as locals suspected that Mukesh might have entered the Kuki-dominated Zoujangtek area, fuelling panic in Keishampat Leimajam Leikai.

PS I stand in solidarity with Shrimati Omi Luwangthem, the mother of Mukesh, demanding his quick and safe recovery.

One of the Kuki youths leading the blockade yesterday in Kangpokpi (Video 1) appears to be the same Kuki Militant who had challenged and abuse NIA (Video 2). Fyip for necessary action @BhallaAjay26 @NIA_India

Note the use of Mike etc. So it isn't a spontaneous one but a pre-planned drama to play the victim card and pretend as civilians blocking the highway.

From day 1 of this violence i.e around 2:30 PM of May 3, 2023, video and multiple evidences of well armed Chin Kuki Militants participating in so called protests etc have emerged.

Yesterday itself another so called well armed volunteers also issued a threats against anyone opposing their illegal blockade of the National Highway Video 3.

Btw, so far about dozen Security Forces have been killed in the crisis, all of them by Kuki Miscreants/Militants. What the youth is saying in the Video is the opposite of the truth.
