V2 of the app is in progress.
It will allow multiple rounds, and multiple types of rounds, to run simultaneously.
For those not familiar, an Impact Stream "round" is when there is a pool of on-chain funds intended to positively impact a particular geography (e.g. a village) and/or vertical (e.g. literacy).
Impact Stream's Pilot Round last year helped HUNDREDS of families in Togo (West Africa) get access to education, health care, and clean water.
Their own community proposed, voted on, and built the projects.
Round 2 will be deployed on @ApeChainHUB 🦍
The Impact Stream protocol (and Web/iOS/Android apps) proves on-chain voting and movement of money to ensure IRL impact via local and/or vertical experts.

A small moment of play in the village.
Between school, family, and daily responsibilities, there is still space for children to simply enjoy being children.
Sometimes the simplest moments say the most about a community.
A moment shared with members of the community.
Progress in places like this rarely comes from one person alone. It grows through the relationships, trust, and collaboration between people working together.
Every project begins with people who care about the future of their village.
Three women standing in the fields that help sustain their community.
Agriculture is a part of everyday life here - planting, tending the land, and providing for families and neighbors.
Work like this may not always be seen, but it supports the rhythm of life throughout the village.
A classroom in a local village school.
What isn’t visible in this photo matters just as much as what is: access to a library, clean water, and running water in the school’s latrines and bathrooms. These projects were authored by Jacques, helping create an environment where learning is supported with dignity, safety, and care.
The kind of infrastructure that quietly changes what’s possible for students every day.
When basic needs are met, learning has room to grow.
Kodjo Dodji, a teacher at the local school, shares his heart on education:
“As God created us all, we are all equal before God. Why should some benefit from education while others do not?
It is in our hearts to give a better education to all God’s children.”
A Sunday spent gathered together at a local church in Togo.
Joyful, communal, and deeply human - a space filled with music, movement, and shared moments.
One of the apprentices in Andre’s workshop.
Learning a trade, gaining confidence, and building skills that extend far beyond today. Through mentorship, care, and years of hands-on training, she’s being equipped to one day build a business of her own.
Every stitch is practice. Every day is progress. This is how futures are made - patiently, purposefully, by hand.
This is Andre - a local entrepreneur and project author for our impact work in his community.
Andre had a vision to build a seamstress and textile manufacturing business, but more importantly, to create opportunity for other young people along the way. Today, that vision is real.
By opening his workshop, he’s training young seamstresses and tailors at half the usual cost - feeding them, mentoring them, and equipping them with skills they’ll carry for life.
He didn’t just start a business. He created a pathway, opening doors that would otherwise stay closed.
Every stitch here represents patience, dignity, and the belief that skills shared can change lives. This is how local leadership becomes lasting futures.

New around here? That's okay. Let's take it from the top!
We are @impact_stream, a team of technologists, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and development experts on a mission to help digital communities create real-world impact.
We strive to set a new standard for ethical nonprofits, and partner with digital and #web3 communities to make a positive impact on our planet.
We’ve created a web app that uses #blockchain technology to let communities worldwide propose, vote on, and fund the projects they need. Giving local people the power and tools to solve local challenges allows them to be the heroes of their communities - not us.

In #Togo, where @impact_stream launched its first pilot project round in 2024, the maternal mortality rate is nearly DOUBLE the global average.
The primary cause? A lack of supplies, infrastructure, clinics, doctors, and funding - among many other reasons. This is especially true for the smaller towns and villages outside of the capital, Lomé.
In Impact Stream's pilot round, a local community banded together to vote on a distribution of funds; and so perhaps it's no surprise that one of the 7 fully funded, community-led projects was equipping a local health clinic with vital supplies and infrastructure (refrigerator, beds, medications and more).
This is just one way we're guiding the #cryptocurrency and #blockchain community to create real-world #Impact.

Shout out to my friend and fellow Ape @ctballer_
In 2022 he launched @byautistic to serve neurodivergent kids in West Africa, meeting families where they are with legit care and resources.
He’s also been:
✨ building Ape Shelters and drilling clean-water boreholes to keep communities healthy and stable
✨ setting up community bakeries that empower single moms with job training and microfinance (dignity + income = durable change).
✨ renovating schools, running food programs that feed thousands, donating soccer gear to youth since ’22 and hosting joyful BAYC Christmas parties
✨onboarding African builders via ApeChain hackathons, offering free neurodiversity screenings, and delivering the annual Project Food for All each August.
To top it all off, he’s also produced a five-part docuseries on special-needs inclusion to shift mindsets and policy, not just moments (and he’s a gifted artist!).
This is real-world impact. Proof that those in our community CAN and ARE making a huge difference.
David, thank you for your passion, creativity, heart, and persistence.
This work takes generational thinking and you’re making it happen.
Let’s amplify wins.

💧It's just water, right?
Nope. For over 2 billion people on our planet, clean water can literally mean the difference between life and death. A 5 mile walk, or the risk of getting a waterborne diseases from untreated or unclean water.
One of our first fully-funded, community-voted projects was a solar-powered water pump for a community outside Lomé, Togo, for this reason.
