The SDG is cruising & spirits are high! March 27 they were 27��S of the equator and yesterday they reached 19°S. Now they are in the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), a belt of high precipitation, what we are tracking in #Paladyn using air, water, and sediment samples.

The #Paladyn crew filters water column samples & in- transit surface samples for pyrogenic carbon (any organic molecule formed by incomplete combustion of wildfires) within dissolved & particulate matter, that's been transported and deposited by atmospheric circulation.
