Hot take: AI could put 90% of graphic designers out of a job.

And this isn't an exaggeration. According to a recent report from ARK Invest, AI image generation models have reduced the cost and time required to produce an image by over 99%.

This is backed up by my personal experience: I write a daily newsletter read by almost 500,000 people and every day I feature high quality AI-generated images that would cost 100x more time and money if I paid a graphic designer to do it.

While the best graphic designers will always be in demand, the average graphic designer will find it extremely hard to compete with AI image generation models that create work of comparable quality at almost no cost in a few seconds.

But I could be wrong - AI might end up being an enhancer (instead of being a replacer) for graphic designers, and could make graphic designer more productive than ever before.
