Choose from three pathways designed to match your concept:

🔹 Lab Automation: focused on developing open hardware and automated tools
🔹 Open Project: open to ideas from any discipline

Selected teams receive Hack Credits, access to specialist equipment and hands-on technical support, plus the chance to win additional funding at the Hackstarter Final.

This exciting new partnership, led by us at @imperialcollege and our good partners at @BASF aims to give graduates the skills and knowledge needed to scale up the benefits of engineering biology. Tackling challenges as varied as sustainable food and agriculture, dyes and materials for clothing and novel medicines and drugs, the potential of bioengineering is massive if we can develop more ways to take pioneering research from labs to the real world, and this programme will train the next generation of innovators to be able to do that.
