If you want to improve your life, you should IMMEDIATELY STOP wasting your time by doomscrolling. Use your phone with crystal clear intentions. Are you bored? Have an adventurous life. Do stuff. And collect memories. Your time is ticking.
whoever said โyou MUST BY ALL MEANS develop a strong opinion of yourself so you don't end up internalizing the beliefs others have of youโ changed my life.
The desire to change the world is often the refusal to change yourself.
The greatest service you can offer humanity is your own transformation. Not your opinions. Not your activism. Not your advice. Yourself.
Transcend yourself, and your existence changes the world without trying. Every lasting change in history began with a human being who conquered himself before attempting to influence others.
The people who truly changed the world never set out to change it. They set out to change themselves. The world changed as a consequence.
Rest in peace to Connor Murphy. Watched his prank videos back in the day, the guy was always pretty interesting and going viral constantly.
Its unfortunate that it turned out like this. Psychedelics are pretty dangerous
Rest in peace Connor Murphy.
Connor was one of my closest friends. I stayed with him last month in Thailand and he was the most accommodating and awesome guy I've ever met.
Connor always stood out to me as the most interesting guy I've seen on the internet. He largely conquered the material world very early - millions of YT subscribers, rich, good looking with a great physique, an abundance of women - and he said he felt alright at the time, but that something was eerily missing.
So instead of falling into the endless materialistic loop of wanting more of the exact thing that's just been proven to lack fulfilment, he seeked an alternate path. He began meditating, taking psychedelics, and looking into spirituality and the concept of awakening, which I myself find fascinating.
His ayahuasca trip in 2020 catapulted him into a state of manic grandiosity, where he faked his own death and literally "acted" in disturbed and bizarre ways, but it's critical to note that he felt mentally amazing throughout this entire period, in fact he spent over a year with a highly elevated mood, only to have it perturbed by his mentally troublesome ex girlfriend at one point.
He pulled ridiculous stunts like pretending to consume his own bodily fluids, acting like a lunatic etc, and sure, most of the audience thought he was ridiculous, cringeworthy, and had ruined his life, but to him, he was still making good money and was so free from the need for external validation that it simply did not matter.
A lot of the things he said deeply resonated with me. Yes, most people are, at some level, unhappy and unfulfilled, and they lie to themselves everyday that this isn't the case. So I always thought... what if he's actually onto something? What if his way of suppressing his ego actually did give him a feeling of peace and contentment unattainable to the average person?
People judge his life through their own perception, under the assumption that their own perception is more "real" than his... but there IS no greater truth than perception. But most people have such limiting beliefs and are too biased towards the status quo to think that there could be any other superior way to perceive or experience reality. If you could guarantee unforeseen levels of happiness and contentment as long as you forfeit your current perception of the world, would you? I would.
I've taken away so much value from Connor, and I can't say that about many people at all. He was eccentric, and at some times he did push the boundary into insanity, but he truly was visionary and a masterful critical thinker. Did he take things too far this time? Absolutely, but it's important to at least note that he had absolutely zero fear of death, and at the end of the day, he lived a great and happy life.
I don't wish to emulate everything about him, but overall, Connor Murphy was one of the most interesting, intelligent and amazing guys I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. May he rest in peace.
@TheOSSGirlx Honestly I donโt think any of that had to do with him drowning. Swimming can be dangerous depending on when and where.
But Myron was actually dropping some ball knowledge about vices and earning the circumstances to enjoy them. Again tho not sure what that had to do with Connor
If you donโt come from a rich family, Iโm sorry to tell you this, but youโll be in survival mode until the day you die.
The billionaire elites are shaping society in a way that makes it almost impossible to escape the 9 to 5 matrix.
You have two choices, sell your soul and tarnish your reputation forever for money, or stay poor forever.
The point at which you are maximally doubting yourself is the point at which, if you can persist with faith and dedication, you are about to hit a quantum breakthrough and permanently enter a new timeline.
That point is the great filter.
@KJJTax You're not taxed unless you're caught day trading. Most swing trading is allowed by the CRA granted you're not profiting large amounts or else it will be flagged as business income
