The bond between Bibi Sughra and Hazrat Ali Akbar (AS) was profound. When her letter reached Karbala after his martyrdom, her first question was, "Father, is my Ali Akbar well?" She deeply longed to see his wedding day, and the agony she faced upon hearing of his death is beyond imagination.
Equally heartbreaking is when Hurr's son was martyred. Imam Hussain (AS) stopped Hurr from retrieving the body, saying, "I will go. How can an elderly father carry his young son's body?" Yet, one wonders how the Imam found the strength to carry his own young son, Ali Akbar (AS).
When Imam Hussain (AS) reached Ali Akbar (AS), he cried, "O Akbar, with your departure, my eyesight is gone." The pain of pulling the spearhead from his son's chest is unfathomable. Peace be upon you, O Maula Hussain (AS).
O father, aren't we right? Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) said to him: Yes, I swear to God.
He said: So we don't care whether we overtake death or death overtake us.
Ali Akbar as is a role model for the faithful youth walking on the path of righteousness.

Sweeter than honey.
Words spoken by Qasim ibn al-Hasan (ع), a 13-year-old prince of Ahlul Bayt (ع), whose love for sacrifice in the path of Imam Husayn (ع) was sweeter to him than life itself. 🖤
