@_JordanDecker@thesickpodcasts@TonyMarinaro Ok, but assume the cost is something like Beck, Gally + 2026 1st, and Thomas is traded for MacTavish and Larkin in US, so no other available Cs, would u do it?
@ffrankk88@NHLRumourReport No way they give that without a sure roster player. Ghule would be the main piece they’re getting back. 2026 28OA, 2027 (probably in the same range) is not worth that much. Zharovsky and Engstrom are not as wanted as Hage
@futurdgduCH I think if ur trading for McDavid, ur giving up 1 of CC, NS, 48, 20, 93 + 1 of Ghule, Math + either Dobes or Fowler, plus 1 or 2 1st round picks
@BraytonJWilson As a Habs fan I would give Hage, Ghule, Fowler or Dobes, 2 1st round picks for that kind of package and pretty sure other teams are willing to offer more
@MitchyGallo Both those guys need PP time, so who would u remove from the current PP1? Habs are better off finding a great 5 vs 5 C who can play PK2 (O’Reilly or Trocheck). It’ll also cost cheaper
@fredette Or you can take on half his salary. At 3M any team would love to have a leader like Gally in the locker room, if not, then he stays on the books for 1 more year. Late 1st could be a Hage, I don’t think Gally is so bad to the team that they need to unload him that quickly
@xwleblancx I’m sorry but you’re gonna have to include one of: CC, NS, Slaf or Demi. The only thing that would probably work both ways is: CC, Ghule, Hage, 2026 1st and 2027 1st. This is more something Edm would do
@futurdgduCH Idk, Dobeš value is at its highest right now. If the Habs are 100% sure that Fowler is the future, I would definitely consider trading him, specifically if the return is the C or RHD we need
@MatthewEvolves I’m very down with Trocheck, but he would be #2 after O’Reilly as we need to get a bit older. Plus the history between JG and the NYR might make a Trocheck deal very difficult
