#Day1 - Tesla FSD - Crazy Safe, Even during Snow
The FSD by Tesla is unmatched and I have yet to get in a car that performs even half as well as Tesla.
How do you train the cars for snowy conditions? @elonmusk

@jrxcket@grok based off your world renowned engineering skills, what design for catching rockets do you think you would lean towards? The one with wires, like shown in this video or the method @elonmusk and @SpaceX use?
@AFlaggScout@BBGreatMoments Shit, I guess are you saying the “wheel” play/set-up may not be the absolute best answer for a certain scenario but it’s the best overall play for every scenario?
And my suggested play/setup is better in a specific situation but lacks in other situations/scenarios?
Gotcha gotcha. What you’re saying makes complete sense.
Just so many hypotheticals and tbh, I don’t think I can convey what’s unfolding in my brain into words to further question it.
I guess my next question would be. Knowing only the scenario.
1. What are you telling your hitter in terms of bunting? Where do you want it to go if direction is fully controllable (obviously this isn’t always the case, baseball is never 100%)
2. What are you telling your defense if you are on the other side.
And what you choose is based on not knowing what the other teams doing to do.
I ask this bc each scenario can have a hole or be outplayed. I think anyway
In my mind, whoever fields the ball is listening for 2 callouts on where to throw.
3rd or 1st (double play is the last thing on their mind)
And in this case I feel leaving 3rd in place and charging 1st makes the most sense. Can you tell me why this would not be a better option than the wheel?
Love this.
One question though. You mentioned how the hitter knew his job was sacrificing himself to move the runners. Not truly expected to be safe.
If this is the case why go down 3rd baseline? You are increasing chances of just getting 3rd out not and the double play. I understand his chances of being safe are higher, beings he is a lefty but that’s still not the main objective.
Even if outside pitch, a good hitter can direct a bunt in almost any direction. Could you agree?
What’s wrong with playing it like this?
“BATTER SQUARES UP”
- 3rd stays
- 1st charges
- 2nd covers 1st base
- SS covers 2nd
-Pitcher & Catcher also go for the ball
To me this method is the most logical and creates the most consistent outcome of either getting lead runner or batter.
I am not a fan of requiring my shortstop to make a plan on a run to 3rd base. Incorporating to many factors for a mistake. Maybe this is a skill level thing?
Shouldn’t be common when spending 14million.
Mistakes happen non manufacturing and construction, that’s just the world we live in. But that just means quality control needs to be implemented better here.
Making a mistake is one thing but not catching it, is something that needs to happen in order to be a top tier company
@AFlaggScout@BBGreatMoments Do you think the Wheel is the most effective route to play this?
Why would the batter bunt towards 3rd baseline with guys on 1st/2nd and not the 1st baseline?
Players are charging as the batter squares, they don’t know where the balls going.
And if you have runners on 1st/2nd that means the purpose of the bunt is to move the runners. Why would the batter bunt towards 3rd baseline?
He should be attempting to go down the fist baseline in this scenario, not 3rd.
