Yesterday’s visit to the Mahatma Gandhi Centre at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies was interesting for quite a few reasons:

Got to see a vibrant Indology ecosystem.

Saw great passion towards studying about India.

Immense work on Gandhi Ji’s life.

Growing interest in Tamil culture.

Students also recited a few lines from poems written by me.

This includes prominent diaspora members, those passionate about the environment, Yoga enthusiasts, academics, ITEC alumni, researchers and more.

Happy to see such continuous engagement with India.

One of the Yoga practitioners was in Ahmedabad for the World Yogasana Championship and won a medal.

A wonderful meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr. Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Bishkek.

India-Armenia cooperation is all set to grow in defence, IT, space, education, pharmaceuticals and more.

We are equally certain to deepen trade and investment linkages in the times to come.

Discussed how to add momentum to our Strategic Partnership through:

Greater cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, IT, minerals, agriculture, digital technologies and infrastructure.

Expanding defence and security linkages.

Strong people-to-people relations through areas such as sports, tourism and more.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri A. Balakrishnan Ji, who served as the All India President of Vivekananda Kendra.

Balakrishnan Ji devoted more than five decades of his life to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and to the service of society. As one of the early Jeevanvratis of Vivekananda Kendra, he worked tirelessly across the country. He had a particularly deep association with the Northeast. He played an important role in educational, social and nation-building activities.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Vivekananda Kendra family and his admirers. Om Shanti.
