The results of the recent state elections have been dramatic by any measure.
But for me, this image will remain the most unforgettable outcome of the elections.
More than 166,000 votes were cast between the two leading candidates in this constituency in Tamil Nadu.
And history was changed by just one vote.
This image should be shown in every school in the country & perhaps around the world.
So that every child understands that when they grow up, the greatest power they may possess is the Power of One.
The power of their one vote.
A man returns from the doctor and tells his wife that the doctor has told him he has only 24 hours to live.
Given this prognosis, the man asks his wife for sex.
Naturally, she agrees, and they make love.
About six hours later, the husband goes to his wife and says, "Honey, you know I now have only 18 hours to live. Could we please do it one more time?" Of course, the wife agrees, and they do it again.
Later, as the man gets into bed, he looks at his watch and realizes that he now has only 8 hours left. He touches his wife shoulder, and asks, "Honey, please...just one more time."
She says, "Of course, Dear," and they make love for the third time.
After this session, the wife rolls over and falls asleep.
The man, however, worried about his impending death, tosses and turns, until he's down to 4 more hours.
He taps his wife, who rouses. "Honey, I have only 4 more hours. Do you think we could..."
At this point the wife sits up and says, "Listen, I have to get up in the morning. You don't!"..
I have taken note of the incorrect photos highlighted by @khurpenchh@YTKDIndia. While the photos on the MPLADS portal are uploaded by the district authorities, the responsibility for ensuring transparency rests with me. The matter has been highlighted to the district administration for necessary action, and the correction process has already been initiated.
As of December 2025, nearly 95% of the allotted MPLADS funds have already been recommended by me to the district authorities for development works, including street lights, open multi-equipment gyms, roads, rainwater harvesting structures, and other public assets. These works are at various stages and will progress step by step after due approvals, with updates reflected on the portal. We will continue to work with transparency and a strong commitment to serving the people.
Meet Abu Taher Khan.
He is the current Member of Parliament from the Murshidabad representing the Trinamool Congress.
Now, let's examine the works carried out during his tenure through the lens of the Central Govt's MPLADS website.
A Thread🧵
Ma'am, I appreciate that you took time to bring your side on table but something more appreciable would have been that you asking the responsible people to ensure that the images are updated ASAP instead of looking for where others are at fault too, just like you.
So @YTKDIndia has managed to make some accusations about my work basis of a screenshot of ministry website that isn’t updated and has led to many sharing it gleefully to troll. I have been a hands on MP and have actively used the MPLAD funds hence was amused with what the handle accused me of.
So, I did a quick check on works enlisted on this website of some MP ministers from Maharashtra, barring one from Gujarat namely Shri Nitin Gadkari, Shri Ramdas Athawale, Shri Amit Shah & Shri Piyush Goyal and here is what I found . Does this mean they haven’t allocated or utilised their fund ? No. It means the website is not updated regularly.
Seriously guys while I appreciate the effort the handle is making to seek accountability but this is pure sensationalism without checking if the details with the respective MP before throwing whole lot of accusations their way.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi @PuneCityPolice. One of your own. No helmet. Earphones. No HSRP compliant numberplate. Please take action. The number plate is clear but if it is not : MH 12 SW 6415
We want justice.
Two govt departments, two different land claims:
📌 Revenue Dept: 66 ft
📌 Irrigation Dept: 78 ft
This internal contradiction exposes serious governance failure.

Film opens with a masked villain destroying some Indian asset somewhere and challenging the Indian govt, saying he is coming for them.
Next scene: IB, RAW, and ministers are having a round-table meeting about the villain while his 4K images play on the monitor. The intel chief clears his throat and reveals the shocking truth: the villain is ex-RAW, once India’s finest, now enemy No. 1 because he didn't get promotion on time.
Minister, sweating dramatically: “Ab kya? Kaise rokenge isko?” Everyone looks at each other helplessly. The intel chief removes his glasses and whispers, “Sir… is kaam ko sirf ek aadmi kar sakta hai.”
Cue 45-second monologue praising the hero as the background score swells. Slo-mo entry of the hero, dust flying, camera circling, national flag reflecting in his sunglasses.
Hero ki help ke liye jayegi Special Agent Sofia. Kyu? Abhi to aapne kaha tha ye kaam woh akela kar sakta hai. Haan, lekin Sofia ka figure achha hai. Action scenes ke beech me gaane-waane honge, aur unme woh bikini pehen kar ghoomegi. Lekin yaar? Apni agent bikini? Koi naa, aap tension naa lo. Sofia ko ISI agent bana denge jo hero ki help karegi. Haan, ye theek hai.
Then comes the mission. Cat-and-mouse game. Action scenes, beech me item songs, slow-motion explosions, unnecessary bike chases, and the villain saying “You don’t know who I am!” every 20 minutes.
Then the villain kills the hero’s sidekick, Altaf. Altaf's family would have been a victim of the 2002 riots, but he chose to fight for his country. He’ll die after giving a 10-minute monologue about country over religion. The hero is sad, then angry. It’s revenge time. Background score intensifies.
Again cat and mouse. Hero gets shot but still fights 20 men while bleeding. He is about to lose. Enter Pathaan, or Tiger, or Chhota Tiger, or Kabir or (Skoda) Laura Lehsun for a cameo who save the hero. Hero wins. Villain dies, or escapes with a scar for the sequel, or has a change of heart and sacrifices himself “for the nation.”
Hero and heroine hug. Hero salutes the flags of both countries. End credits roll. Anupama Chopra is sitting in the theatre crying. Hrithik tweets that this is responsible filmmaking. Radhika Apte says ab is desh me bachha paida karna surakshit hai. Jai Hind.

Drivers fear harassment & even violence (reports of beatings!).
This is lawlessness under the guise of “traffic control.”

Before mentioning my education, my grandfather was a poor farmer in a remote village, and my father was a Subedar in the Army. So no privilege here. Not a Brahmin or even general category, so no caste bias either.
I did my MBBS and MD in open category from one of India’s top medical colleges, and even then, I don’t treat it like some grand personal achievement, because countless people with far fewer resources than me have reached even greater heights, and they carry zero superiority complex about it. Most people in science, commerce, or general arts don’t walk around with inflated egos either.
What I genuinely fail to understand is the bizarre entitlement displayed by some liberal arts graduates like her, people with degrees and PhDs in topics like “variations in dance techniques of African tribes,” that have virtually no societal utility, still acting as if they sit on some intellectual throne.
She lacks the basic comprehension to see that my tweet wasn’t against intercaste marriage; it criticised the misogynistic fetish of demanding only women as the “proof” of equality. I’ve never heard them say, “The day Brahmin men marry our daughters, equality is achieved.” Yet she hurls abuses at me while completely missing the point.
