Filing TDS/TCS Return for Q1 (TY 2026-27)?
Here's a quick cheat sheet 👇
📋 New Return Forms-
• Form 138 → Salary TDS (Earlier Form 24Q)
• Form 140 → Non-Salary TDS (Earlier Form 26Q)
• Form 143 → TCS (Earlier Form 27EQ)
ALL HAVE DUE DATES 31-7-2026 FOR Q1 OF TY 26-27
📋 New Section Codes attached below-
💡 Pro Tip
If your client has deposited multiple section codes in a single challan, expect some extra work while preparing the returns.
The challan amount has to be bifurcated correctly among Form 138 / Form 140 / Form 143, because the filing software must identify which portion of the challan pertains to which return form.
Before you jump in , A little care at the challan download stage can save significant reconciliation time during return filing.
A few days ago, I posted about the need for an official Tally-integrated Audit & Analytics Tool for Chartered Accountants.
The Tally team reached out, and over the next few days we had 4–5 detailed discussions of around 30–40 minutes each
They already made few things inside the Tally and they will be making few things in future
✅Cash payments, Debtors & Creditors Analytics:
several features I had requested already exist within Tally through built-in reports, advanced filters and analysis tools. The Tally team patiently walked me through them and even shared a detailed email with the navigation and explanations. Even Few suggestion have been noted by them to make analysis easy for us.
Attached slide -1
✅ Tax Audit Dashboards:
For the audit-specific requirements (Clause 31, Clause 40, Clause 44, Clause 22, Clause 18, etc.), Tally has confirmed that these have been noted as product enhancement requirements and that feasibility is being worked upon for upcoming releases. They have assured me that auditors will be kept updated on future enhancements.

This is exactly how social media should work.
constructive feedback leading to meaningful conversations and better products.
Kudos to the @tallysolutions for listening patiently, engaging with users, and taking professional feedback seriously.
Hopefully, auditors will soon have an even more powerful experience inside Tally.
That's the real power of social media when used constructively. 💙
Dear @ProteanEgovTech@IncomeTaxIndia@religareonline
PAN & TAN applications are pending for more than 1 month after the TIN NSDL Agency Portals have been updated from 01st April....
Please extend due date of payment of TDS for Quarter-4. 🙏🏻
PAN & TAN applications were processed in 2-3 days earlier but now taking more than 20 days! 😤
#GST Portal is not working properly since many days.
➡️Major Time Portal Crash.
➡️Unable to Login.
➡️Unable to save GSTR-3B, payment & proceed-to-file.
Authorities requested to kindly extend the due date of March-26 GSTR-3B at earliest.
@Infosys_GSTN@nsitharaman@cbic_india
After failing on GSTR-1 due date, the portal is now failing to work on GSTR-3B due date as well.
They need interest as well, not just ITC disallowance in 2B
#GSTN
Portal is either not loading properly or getting logged out as per sample screenshot attached in almost all taxpayers, so provide proper working portal as today is last date for GSTR3B of March 26 @Infosys_GSTN@GST_Council@FinMinIndia
In my entire professional life as a CA I have never seen such consistent failure of a statutory compliance portal.
Hours of productive time wasted.
Repeated disruptions.
And ultimately mental harassment of taxpayers and professionals.
Perhaps it’s time to seriously examine accountability even through a PIL…
@GST_Council@Infosys@Infosys_GSTN
Retweet For Support #Duedateextensiondemand due to Non Working of Portal on Last Day
A nationwide glitch is currently affecting GSTR-3B filing, with taxpayers across the country facing the same issue today. This is causing significant disruption and uncertainty.
Hopefully, the problem gets resolved at the earliest. However, if @Infosys_GSTN is unable to fix it within the next one hour, @cbic_india should seriously consider extending the due date for filing GSTR-3B to avoid unnecessary hardship for taxpayers.

GST Portal again failing on crucial due dates!!
With strict GST timelines, a working portal is the bare minimum.Faulty systems on last dates waste thousands of man-hours, burden taxpayers with undue interest.
Due date should be extended immediately @Infosys_GSTN@cbic_india
World is exploring Artificial Intelligence with full force and here we are - struggling for a properly working portal. Bad example for Digital India
Dear @Infosys_GSTN
GST Portal is not Working Properly Since Today Morning, Users are Facing Following Issue
➡️Difficulty in Login on Portal
➡️Captcha is not Loading
➡️Again and Again Logout From Portal
➡️Problem in saving GSTR-3B
➡️Payment and Proceed to file are working only after 6-7 attempts
Kindly solve this problems as soon as possible.
@cbic_india As users are unable to file GSTR-3B , Kindly Extend the due date. Why taxpayers suffers the inability of tech company. @nsitharamanoffc@nsitharaman@FinMinIndia
