UP Police smashes street light, opens lathi-charge in the dark

In UP's Prayagraj, a dispute over route of Tazia procession escalated into violence with stone-pelting on police which was trying to intervene. Multiple policemen were injured. 12 suspects were arrested. Another video of policemen smashing street light and opening lathi-charge has also surfaced.

A Muslim Urdu teacher was slapped by a BJP leader in Telangana for teaching Urdu to students, despite Urdu being an officially recognized second language in the state. 🚨 #ExpressInvestigation | The Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary received a ₹99.03 lakh subsidy for a commercial cucumber farming project under a scheme run by the ministry he serves in.

While the final approval was granted by an NHB project approval committee that does not include the minister, Choudhary is the ex-officio Vice-President of the NHB board that oversees its functioning.

The project, worth ₹1.99 crore, was among 467 approved under the scheme in 2025.

As the world recoils in horror at yet another independent UN finding that Israel has committed genocide, deliberately targeted children, and perpetrated atrocity crimes against the Palestinian people, India can take pride that the Chair of this inquiry is our own Justice Dr. S. Muralidhar.

The irony, however, is impossible to miss.

A judge honoured globally for speaking truth to power and defending human rights was hounded and transferred by the RSS-BJP regime because he became too inconvenient at home.

Israel's shame is the genocide and brutalisation of an entire people. India's shame is that those who speak for justice are persecuted, while those who preach and perpetrate violence are celebrated and glorified.

History has a long memory. It remembers both the perpetrators of injustice and those who had the courage to name it.

पर सबसे बड़ा सवाल यह है कि आखिर भरत तिवारी के पास अवैध पिस्टल कहाँ से आया?
किन लोगों के शह पर इस आपराधिक वारदात पर राजनीति हो रही है?
देश संविधान से चलेगा या फिर अवैध पिस्टल की नोक से?
भरत तिवारी को कोई क्रांतिकारी नहीं था जिनका जातिवादी मानसिकता के लोग समर्थन कर रहें हैं,पुर्व में भी अपराधिक मामले को लेकर इनकी गिरफ़्तारी हो चुकी थी।

वैसे चित्रा त्रिपाठी जी जैसे कुछ लोगों के लिए ये लाईन सटीक है…
