Many years ago, a young student shared his vision for a youth movement/organization with me and convinced me to be Youth General Assembly’s Patron. Since then, YGA has engaged thousands of young leaders and thinkers through its various forums and activities and now counts people from across the political spectrum and civil society as its mentors, advisors and supporters.

Today, he has been acknowledged for his work as a Forbes 30 under 30 in Asia for social impact through YGA Pakistan. Earlier, he was awarded the prestigious Diana Award for the same reason.

Fahad Shahbaz has built an institution which will hopefully continue to have lasting impact on the country’s youth and increase its activities across Pakistan.

Syed Ismail, co founder of Karachi based Saraaf, was named in the Consumer and Enterprise Technology category for digitising commodity sourcing across Central and South Asia. Muhammad Furqan Karim Kidwai and Sarfraz Shahid Hussain, founders of Singapore based Plouton AI, were honoured in Finance and Venture Capital for their AI driven finance automation platform.
Maheera Ghani, a Cambridge PhD in materials science, was featured in Healthcare and Science for her research on ultra thin semiconductors and her work with WinSci Pakistan, which encourages women in science. Fahad Shahbaz, founder of the Youth General Assembly, also made the cut for his work in social impact and youth leadership.
