@Parody_RCGP Not guilty at all. One of, if not the, best medical shows on tv ever. Grasps and portrays the tension between dark humour and compassion like no other.
@DanielSokol9 Imagine being the sort of person who attempts to argue that doctors should be paid less than they were 17 years ago in real terms and less than their assistants who can't (legally) prescribe or order investigations involving radiation.
@BMA_James_Steen Career average scheme since 2015 for new members. Since 2022 for McCloud. Wage suppression is pension suppression too. Then there's the fact that the NHS pension scheme returns a surplus to treasury every year of BILLIONS (4.3 billion in 2022/3)
@chriscraigCCC@DrSteveTaylor@lengreview Minimum GP numbers per 1000 patients. Stop just counting appointments but break down by prof status. GP, nurse, physio, pharmacist etc. We employ GPs, nurses and pharmacist directly. Physio and MH nurse via PCN. No PA in my practice. No PA employed by my PCN. It can be done
@DrEilidhMaria You can dip in and out of private. Can see consultant privately initially then convert back to nhs care *without* having to go back through the GP. Skips that initial wait for OPD.
@Funactuary2@UKGastroDr Potential future earning is not a reason to suppress pay during training. Consultants have also seen their pay massively eroded in real terms over the last 17 years. Subsidising healthcare by underpaying staff is immoral.
Standard govt tactics. Announce 2.8%. "Concede" 4%. Claim "inflation busting" payrise via sympathetic media. CPIH to April 25 is 4.1%, RPI is 4.5%. Pay restoration getting further away, not closer. GPs even worse. "Pay portion" of GMS doing some heavy lifting in the announcement
A 4% pay uplift, less than current inflation, is an insult to doctors in England. This Government has shown it simply doesn’t value doctors.
“The DDRB has failed doctors. If this is the best they can do, government needs to think again.” says @DrPhilBanfield
This ‘award’ pushes #PayRestoration even further out of reach, and doctors even further from the NHS. No one wants a return to scenes of doctors on picket lines but today’s actions have sadly made this look far more likely.

@JeremyOatesUrol@Parody_RCGP@BenAllenGP Digital letter directly loaded to patient record. We've been screaming about issues like this since the ill thought out plans were first floated. No one listened to justified worries.
The staggering arrogance of tories, even in defeat. Multiple tory candidates still saying "the natural party of government". You've just been eviscerated at the polls due to rank incompetence + dismal record of failure over last 15 years. Get in the bin all of you. #ge24
@goldstone_tony My record (compiled by accountants each year) is correct. They (you know who) have misattributed work from another GP who shares my name in a region I have never worked to my pension record and because the two don't match have refused to update my record. Trying to correct 7yrs
