A conversation over Sondesh with @_PallaviGhosh about a bunch of stuff that is germane to our public conversations .
One can not but help admire @_PallaviGhosh for her valiant attempt to be provocative 🧐.
Do watch:👇
Outstanding work, @MumbaiPolice! 👏 You’ve once again given us a live demonstration of how the VIP culture works, and how being a commoner is apparently a punishable offence.🥵
Two Indias. Two sets of rules. One glorious VIP culture!
Offending a child’s sensibilities is possibly the worst trait of humans. This little child from Itanagar wants Indians to know that she too is one of us. India is diverse, we need to understand this
Abhijeet Dipke isn't asking for a luxury classroom.
He isn't asking for an AC.
He isn't asking for smart boards.
He is asking for toilets, drinking water and benches.
And in 2026, after 80 years of independence, we still need a campaign to demand them.
80 years.
EIGHTY.
If this doesn't embarrass the administration, nothing will.
It is very important for the youth to understand this - we must all feel empowered. We don't need heroes, we need every voice to be heard. Every single person who is protesting, organizing, and leading deserves visibility and recognition. You are all capable, you are all strong, and together your voices have the power to bring change. ✊🏽🙌🏽
Suddenly everyone who wants to interact with Gen Z and Gen Alpha, and some who have taken it on themselves to preach “culture” to them via social media, the simple question to all of them is…
Where were you when they were facing AK-47s, lathis with rusted nails, electric shock guns and electric barricades, tear gas and when women were manhandled in the name of “law and order”?
Where were you when they were detained at home while leaving for peaceful protests, or when they were arrested?
Why didn’t you step in then?
Now that PM has ‘forgiven’ those who abused him, can we punish those who abused power? Reveal the true faces behind police excesses on the 20th July?
The little journalistic sense at my command tells me, that is the bigger story.
Can’t agree more @SauravDassss . At a time media needs to debate d value of govt promise/action for reforms in education sector, its focus is on showing d PM as being wronged. Hope d latest मैं माफ़ करता हूँ insta post by PM will end it all 🙄
IMPORTANT: A former colleague who has tracked the police for years sent this apt and very well written note on the July 20 violence . Pl read it carefully one and all (especially some of our top cops who still retain a commitment and integrity to the uniform)

Full sympathies with families and children of cops as no one should be made to see the suffering of their loved ones. But this isn’t an argument about whether the protesters did this or not. The idea of parading the families of injured Delhi Police officers is a dishonourable attempt to create an emotional counter-narrative and is more aimed at deflecting systemic accountability for use of force by the state and hence shifts the focus from institutional actions to individual suffering.
Comparing state-backed police force's injuries with injured students ends up creating a false moral equivalence, because the police hold state authority and crowd-control tools. Remember, violence is always a state monopoly in legal terms. Their attempts distract everyone from the core issue - of police misconduct and disproportionate use of force. In this battle of my emotion versus your emotion, the larger picture should never be lost in any civilised society.🙏
My god what cringe is this. Mata Pita upset about sanskaar. Instead of asking what educational reform will the govt bring, instead of asking why students are being arrested and bullied online, crores of our money is going to make this cringe
