According to article 33 army members are not supposed to comment on such proceedings at all he is well within law and order , Dhoni isnβt cure to your chronic social media illness pls mind tour business
ms dhoni did 15 day training, patrolling duties with his regiment in kashmir to "earn" the maroon beret. sported balidan badge on gloves. made his franchise stitch a patch of camo on their jersey. these are extra-ordinary efforts for a sportperson in his capacity to value our armed forces & encourage our youth to serve the country. imagine all these real impactful duties getting reduced to nothing because he doesn't post on social media. it's mind blowing that internet has created an entire genre of such people who believe ms dhoni acting like an insta influencer would have more weightage and respect in people's eyes than him actually caring for & encouraging millions being an army personnel for real in real life. thanks for telling (without telling), you were never his fan but just an opportunist who flows with the wind of engagement faking some dramatic sentiments in "diehard fan turned critic" flavor.
trivia: kapil dev is also a recepient of honorary Lt. Colonel rank in territorial army. his twitter acc is also inactive. no postings since 2021. normal thing just like ms dhoni's. but you won't see such upset stories or narratives around him. payout junkies pretending to be "patriots" will only drag ms dhoni for obvious reason i.e. he is an engagement engine. (not that i want them to drag kapil dev, just observe the level of opportunism and their methods of operation. lol.) typical social media leeches!
Just because your life depends on twitter and its payouts, it's sick to think everyone depends on it. Dhoni never posted his trophies and achievements in social media too!! If you are a diehard fan you should've known it. You never was and never will be a fan of Dhoni
I was a die-hard Dhoni fan at one point of time, but the feeling has eroded bit by bit. The smartest cricketer, whose genius was not in the tally of trophies, but little things like sitting down in front of stumps to better aid his spinners to hit the wickets during a bowl out against Pakistan. The guy who gave us the ultimate prize of an ODI WC win, a generation which was fed up of the same retirees from the 1983 batch being hauled to TV studios every World Cup.
But he has overstayed, and used that stay to not score runs or wins but scoring brand deals. Also his posturing doesnβt help. A army man, who is well within his right to not go to a temple, but has nothing to say about Pahalgam. Very strange. He has worn army insignias on his gloves before in International matches, but no symbolism here. In his home league, is strange. Not protesting but a bit sad about being a fan, whose idol clearly doesnβt care. We will move on.
