@WearsAHelmet jasper jumps so hard the helmet nearly flies off.
“whoa— okay! yep! that’s me!”
he spins around, half-panicked, half-expecting a flying tennis ball.
“uh… hi, carlos! please tell me you’re not holding the launcher right now.”
he ducks a little just in case.
“you really think i’d cover for him if he was just out there… calling you old?”
he hesitates, then can’t help himself—
“…’cause that does sound kinda like henry.”
“i’ll help. i’ll help i’ll help. just—don’t lose your patience, ray. you’ll scare me into a heroic faint.”
—alternate quick tones if you want to swap it:
funny: “i’ll bring muffins. muffins solve everything.”
sincere: “i’m really worried. henry’s like my brother. we’ll find him
“okay—okay. where was henry last seen? school? the man cave? the arcade? i’ll check the places he’d go before panicking. and—i can call charlotte and schwoz. or text him. or—”
his words tumble.
@TheSassyMaster jasper tilts his head, squinting.
“uh… should i be worried or—”
he gestures vaguely at her helmet.
“—is this, like, a new fashion thing? ‘cause if it is, i totally support it.”
he pauses.
⠀⠀⠀“just… need to know if i should duck or compliment you.”
@HalfShellLeader splinter sits cross-legged in the dojo, eyes closed, the air still but for the slow pull of his breathing. the scent of incense drifts faintly — lavender, grounding. his cane rests across his lap, hands folded over it.
patience is a discipline.
