This is the first time competitive roleplaying IP meets web3.
Since last 3 years, a lot of studios launch games on web3 because their game is poor and hard to win on trad game market. so they just want to make their small fans as exit liquidity. and this made bad reputation for web3 game.
As the first builder of web3 game, I want to show another case study.
The game is not only better than normal web3 RPGs, but also much better than "whole" idle RPGs. it already proove its predecessor and they made another masterpiece. It was very hard to do my daily work because I was addicted to the beta version of IR2. I swear you guys will be addicted too.
One thing I honestly share is that this game's first iteration didn't add much web3 things. The reason is that the studio originally have a plan to launch web2 version first and web3 version later (2025).
But I strongly push the team to launch the game as unified version at first time even there is small web3 feature on its open spec. Because I don't want to deprioritize our web3 game fans as 2nd.
Instead, it also impose tons of additional works for unified version and I agreed that they focus on shaping its own IP experience first.
You can believe me, we are Planetarium, pioneer of onchain game and the game will also provide a lot of interesting/experimental web3 experience soon.
