[Zaidee @imzaidee3]

@prettysailorr I hear you. I started a one-shot last night beucase I've failed to be inspired by my WIP.

[Zaidee @imzaidee3]

Side-eyeing fan fic writers who portray characters in their 30s and 40s as invalids whose bodies are falling apart as if they're eligible for social security or the senior early bird special, especially when said characters have been athletic since their youth and are childfree.

Thought getting out of NYC during a heatwave would be a treat, but Rome is just as sweaty.

@prettysailorr So surprising for a golden! Mine on the other hand (a rescue Min Pin/Chi/JRT mix) regularly gets into a slap fight with a cat as they each stand on either side of a the entryway door at my bodega.

[Zaidee @imzaidee3]

Yesss. I'd much much rather consume fic from someone 30+. Life experience and lots of reading over the years improves the quality of fanfic tenfold.

[prettysailorsoldier🌈🖤 @prettysailorr]

@LoTho83 I've been writing fic since I was 14, but when I tell you it was *bad* 😅 Like everyone wants to read quality works but doesn't want to accept the amount of time and experience reaching that quality requires

[Zaidee @imzaidee3]

TSITP BellyConrad version, because that's the only fanfic I read these days. These should come as no surprise.
1. How Come We Never Dated? (Xanisis)
2. salt, honey, glass house (moonsblue)

[SoftGoods @softgoodsapp]

If you could erase one fic from your memory just to experience it for the first time again...

Which would it be? 💚

[Star Wars Holocron @sw_holocron]

George Lucas explains that “the audience doesn’t know what they want to see” in a new interview.

“If they don’t like a character, that’s interesting, and as a filmmaker I want to find out why. But when the studios hear that, they take the wrong message. They let the audience actually make the movie. Of course, now they go crazy with that. Now, it’s all about what the fans think. That isn’t how you make the movie. You make a movie by finding someone that knows how to make movies, that has a story to tell and is passionate about it.”

@gracefulhearts Love that one! I wrote a companion piece where Belly time travels, with the blessing of the fic author!

[Zaidee @imzaidee3]

@prettysailorr ha! I had this queued this up last night, to read tonight.👀

@isabelfisher_ I think we may be neighbors. I loled at the Whole Foods. I spotted him while my dog was taking a 💩.

[Zaidee @imzaidee3]

People using AI for fics don't want to develop their craft. They aren't in love with the process of writing. Their priority is attention and praise.

[alcyone 💫 @alcyoneaep]

@bluebyleristics what’s killing me is that writing is SUCH a developable skill as well. like just read books when u can, try to write, and over time you’ll naturally get better. some people have talent, but even if you don’t, you can still learn and be amazing at it. just pick up a pencil jfc
