@buperac It's fractional reserve banking.....unfortunately a legal way banks can use your money to invest in overnight markets & such while your funds are in limbo, so they profit even more.....
@Iceman_0693@DontBotherKeiti I do agree with her....and it's not like she applied for the job....someone else chose this photo op and she accepted.....funny how you oh so tolerant left are so intolerant outside of your echo chamber.
@MichelleLA1981@Colleen_G2G It's only an issue when PP is in opposition.....but it was ok when Harper or Mulroney was Prime Minister? The argument is embarrassing.
@GMidtbo@wealthmoose You are parsing facts.... close to 75% of our merchandise exports go to the US based on destination concentration. I work in aluminum and 90% of what we produce in Canada is bound for the US.....so extrapolate the data by industry.
@MichelleLA1981 The corrupt system of 'globalization'....there is no logical reason for Canada & the US to carry the amount of debt we do. As much as people hate the Orange man....he is destroying the British Imperial system we ALL have been beholdened to for centuries...see why they divide us?
@wealthmoose Yes and through the 'green initiatives' handicapped this country by not helping or expanding our own domestic refining & distribution abilities.
@TheRealKeean They won't leave.....they will overstay and just join the underground cash economy amongst their own ethnicity. It's nothing new, it has been done for decades now by many other ethnic groups as well.
@Tereina_@Reil76 Eatons & Sears catalogues were a way of life for many decades in Canada. I worked in the trucking end so I also got to deliver to all those little towns & hamlets that had outlets all over eastern Ontario.
@CoopTory As well, with the aluminum smelting in QC is much cheaper, 40% of the bauxite & alumina we import comes from the US. Then in the casting & extrusion end where i work, most of what we produce is US bound. Essentially we just need to make a deal to avoid thousands of job losses.
@CoopTory The theory sounds good but many of those industries are intertwined with contracts or carve outs for the tarriffs. We need our oil refined south because previous governments would not help domestic refineries upgrade to process our own needs.
@SteadyHabs@CoopTory Yes you are right but unfortunately this has been a systematic fleecing of Canada for decades, long before Trump, Trudeau, Harper & Mulroney...as independent as we want believe we are, we have always been controlled by the Crown & the Imperialistic system.
@Reil76@Tereina_ How about all the people that lost their jobs at that former building across the street? I worked there for 5 years. Living in the County, the job market was always limited.
@KimDobranski It is just like a wrestling script.....but then again who is the expert in making life like a wrestling narrative with the "heal" to generate all the talk, hype criticism & exposure.
@David_Moscrop While you have valid points about the current US admin, we must understand ๐จ๐ฆ has reaped massive benefit of a rather 1 sided trade system for decades...regardless of whether Liberals or conservatives in power. And cozying up to ๐จ๐ณ will show it wasn't a good choice in due time.
