Delhi boosts infrastructure spending in FY26

The Delhi government has increased its revised infrastructure outlay to ₹30,248 crore, signalling a strong push for transport, metro expansion, and urban development.

🔹 Capital outlay raised from ₹28,115 crore to ₹30,248 crore
🔹 Transport (roads & bridges) increased from ₹12,952 crore to ₹16,024 crore
🔹 Delhi Metro (DMRC) allocation enhanced to ₹5,046 crore
🔹 Urban development spending at ₹11,754 crore
🔹 Education budget revised upward to ₹20,702 crore
🔹 Higher allocations for Delhi Jal Board and DTC to strengthen water supply and public transport

The revised estimates underline a sharper focus on urban mobility, infrastructure capacity and service delivery in the national capital.
