Reason: The restaurant has covered the cost of the bottle on your one glass, every glass poured afterward is profit. And who knows how long that bottle has been open for - especially if your in a spot that has a big BTG list.

If you go to a restaurant and order a glass of wine, ask them to pour it from a fresh bottle - especially if you intend on having more than one glass.

@Sancityx Shouldn’t they get compensated for their time? It’s harder to find employees that are willing to work these odd hour shifts so somebody can get a two piece at 3am. The check splitting is to discourage the party of 20 for splitting 25 ways

@Sancityx If you do receive bad service, (in most states/establishments) you can have the auto gratuity removed. In terms of late night charges operating late - what about folks that get night and weekend differential on their pay checks? There are people working these shifts
