Maldives has once again shown incredible solidarity with Sri Lanka. 🇲🇻❤️🇱🇰
The nationwide media telethon has concluded, raising over USD 782,000 to support Sri Lanka’s disaster relief efforts.
Thousands of Maldivians — from citizens and government institutions to companies, clubs, and media organisations — came together to help a neighbour in need.
A heartfelt thank you to the people of Maldives for standing with Sri Lanka during this difficult time. 🙏
Don’t ask questions about asset declarations? Why? — We have every right to question any issues in the asset declarations of elected officials. Otherwise, what is the point of publishing those declarations in the public domain by CIABOC? Why are the so-called anti-corruption NPP ministers afraid of this?
Thank you, Kalindu, for asking this from Handunnetti.
Lance Corporal W.M.V.M. Bandara of the 2nd Special Forces Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army has been recognized for his brave attempt to save the lives of three people who were injured in the tragic bus accident in Ella. He had also recovered the bodies of four victims, leading a group of locals to carry out a rescue mission while off-duty.

Mr. S. M. Gamage, form Padukka , a daily street vendor, has been purchasing one roll of elasto plaster each day from his earnings and has donated 24 rolls to the hospital.
He plans to continue this noble act, and we deeply appreciate his generous contribution.
This morning, I crossed the road with a father carrying his little one on his shoulders. At one point, he broke into a run—late for school, a bag of tools swinging in his hand. Maybe he makes 3–4K a day. No car. No bike. Just his shoulders carrying his world.

As if committing genocide in Gaza isn't enough, they are already setting their sights on another country to ruin.
Wonder what it would take authorities in Sri Lanka to finally wake up & deport this Israeli menace, many either overstaying visa or carrying out businesses illegally.
Never cried, never begged for bail with lame excuses. Faced injustice head-on and served the full term in prison - not hiding in a hospital bed. That’s a true hero
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said when the law is fair to all, those with guilty consciences panic because they know they are criminals and fraudsters. “No matter the noise, this journey will not be reversed. If my government does not do this, no government ever will.”
The reality of Ranil.
As soon as he got what he wanted, he violently & brutally suppressed the protest movement.
He saved the Rajapaksas from any and all consequences, gave Sagala and Vajira some work & went on a world tour.

Local activists from #Mannar say that 3-4 dead birds are found DAILY at the foot of the wind turbines, in the stretch between Thalvupadu & Nadukuda alone.
Not sure where Energy Min. Jayakody visited, or maybe he was asleep, like he had been at meetings with local activists🙄
Isn’t it astonishing how all Sri Lankan politicians, irrespective of their age, are always fit to lead, but if arrested over a charge, are always immediately admitted to a hospital for being in poor health? Wondering if this happens elsewhere in the world.
Its been almost a year, yet your government hasn’t held to account the culprits behind:
◾Easter Sunday attacks
◾Lasantha Wickrematunge's assassination
◾Prageeth Eknaligoda's disappearance
◾ VFS visa scam
Also Google “Crossing the Rubicon” for god's sake LOL 😂

A great example of Politicians coming together to protect one of their own like a family.
Did we see this unity among them during Easter Attack? or Economic crisis of 2022? or million other problems that affected the common man?

The Sri Lankan Army today assisted with the distribution of postal parcels due to the ongoing strike by postal employees. A large number of parcels hoarded at the Central Mail Exchange were cleared by the Army, with help of the Police, despite opposition from postal employees engaged in a satyagraha at the premises.
