I want to thank everyone for their support and solidarity this time.
Before this government came to power, my only hope was that they would repeal the PTA so we could work without fear of it. But now, nearly 10 months into their rule, that hope remains unfulfilled. Compared to the previous government, I feel this one is somewhat better yet my only wish is that they will not harass anyone under the PTA.
For decades, CTID summons have been used as a tool of intimidation against Tamil journalists .
We talk about Tamil rights, truth, justice, and accountability and we work on these issues.
However, receiving this CTID summons is deeply worrying for me. I wish to live and work freely in my Country without fear.

Friends,
From where do/did you buy the furniture for your abodes? Is it cheaper to buy from local shops in Moratuwa than to buy from the nearest Damro or Arpico?
Only when this nation's defense budget becomes an utter fraction of what it is, and has been, can anyone say this is a "safe" and "secure" place to live, especially for minorities. To rule with a monopoly on violence is the fatal fault of modern day "nationalism".
Your family, and the dynasties preceding it, thwarted any possibility outside of civil war. How many decades did it take? We see similarities in other struggles for self-determination, where the need to take up arms and militancy become the means necessary.
Your family committed genocide, and you choose this moment in the context of all that is happening in the world, to use the word "terror" to dogwhistle Sinhalese chauvinism. I ask dua that we, as a nation, overcome this type of thinking and appeals to phobia.
This is in Mount Lavinia. We drive past this lake often, and have seen various types of birds and animals in the vicinity, and people who fish by the side of the lake. It’s appalling what nearby factories can get away with, with zero regard for the environment + its inhabitants.
