Last year, the Delhi govt faced flak for gifting iPhone 16 pro, iPads & tablets to all 70 MLAs as part of 'paperless initiative '.
But I don't see the same backlash against the Tamil Nadu govt, which has announced new cars for all its 234 MLAs.
Not to forget ₹75000 montly allowance for fuel, driver and maintenance of cars and ₹25,000 State grant to hire secretary.
All of these expenses will be borne by the taxpayers, and yet there is no outrage.
"Sarr, MLAs need to travel within their constituencies sarr."
"Sarr, our legislators need secretaries to do official work sarr."
"If Thalapathy had done it, it must be right sarr."
"Sarr sarr sarr"
The justifications are endless.
Even the 'influencers' who keep cribbing about not getting adequate benefits despite paying high taxes are also eerily silent on this issue.
Interesting, isn't it?
I have been a loyal @airtelindia user for 11 years.
Every year, I buy the annual recharge plan for ₹3599.
This plan promises unlimited 5G data.
But what is the reality?
Even when my phone shows a 5G network, my 4G data gets used!
As soon as my daily limit of 2GB ends, my internet stops working completely.
Today, I had to do an extra data recharge of ₹39 just to complete my work.
Why is Airtel doing this scam to its old customers in the name of 5G?👇
A recent NITI Aayog report said some 94,000 government schools were closed over the past decade, an average of 25 a day, contributing to a 2.26 crore decline in government school enrolment. The government schools’ share of total enrolment has fallen from 71% in 2005 to 49.24% in 2024-25.

An Indonesian YouTube channel called Albumology has built a fascinating library of retro Hindi classics, reimagined in Reggae/Ska.
Using local Indonesian session musicians and vocalists, they’ve given these songs an entirely new cultural texture.
I came across this rendition of Neele Gagan Ke Tale in a post by @SHEKARSUSHEEL
I couldn’t stop playing it on loop.
It’s now downloaded and will become a permanent part of my road trip playlist.
The original, in the immortal voice of Mahendra Kapoor, is, of course, beyond comparison.
But this arrangement gives the song a universal feel. It’ll make you tap your feet, no matter where you come from.
And listening to the lyrics again, I was struck by how beautifully they celebrate the natural world. Long before sustainability became a global movement, this song was already reminding us of our bond with the planet. Perhaps it deserves to be an anthem for that cause.

Filing my IncomeTax returns and I see Health and Education Cess?
What am I paying this for? To do lathi charge on reformers like @Wangchuk66 or is it for the closing the already non existent/ barely functional government schools and hospitals?
We need Accountability!!

Ravneet Bittu ji has rightly pointed out the clear distinction between who the real Sikhs are, and who the militants are.
Jo Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal.
Environmental activist and former IIT professor G. D. Agrawal died after a 111-day hunger strike in 2018, demanding stronger legal protection for the Ganga River.
Neither the media covered his protest nor did the government listen to him.
@Starboy2079 Shame on u Tarun bhai!
Great information but no direct link but rather just a way to discredit #SonamWangchuk
A better question to raise: Why govt released him from custody if he is national security threat?
Assuming u r right: why govt risking security?
This was the flag of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Goddess Chandi in the centre, flanked by Hanuman to her right and Bhairava to her left
Flag jubilantly waved over Jamrud fort inside Afghan territory (Khyber) in October 1836
That was a first in 800 years
Facing the same. AI robotic voice agent keeps repeating the same line and neither understands the issue nor forwards call to IVRS/human agent for help
Simply shameful #airtel@airtelindia#Chortel#airtelscam#fraud
Pathetic service, I think time to switch to @reliancejio!
So Airtel is working hard to ensure that the customer cannot reach their customer care team, and if by chance you do, they make sure that you don’t talk to them again. Neither do they solve the actual problem. Thinking of disconnecting. @airtelindia
