Oh Allah! The Sustainer of Mankind! Remove the illness, cure the disease. You are the One Who cures. There is no cure except Your cure. Grant us a cure that leaves no illness.
@MehboobaMufti Sahiba today speaks about “advocacy” and “protection” for teachers as if people have forgotten her own tenure. The same Mehbooba Mufti, while heading the government, ordered screening tests for nearly 65,000 ReT teachers and questioned their competence, qualifications and credibility.
Today she sheds tears for teachers facing uncertainty, but when she was in power, it was her own government that pushed thousands of teachers into anxiety, humiliation and fear. What changed now? Opposition benches? Political convenience? Or selective memory? It is astonishing to see those who once treated teachers with suspicion now presenting themselves as their protectors. Even @OmarAbdullah had then questioned PDP’s move and asked whether the government had similarly “screened” its own political appointees before rewarding them with positions. Teachers do not need seasonal sympathy tweets. They deserve consistency, dignity and honesty in public life. One cannot ignite fear in power and preach compassion in opposition. Kashmir remembers both the statements and the signatures.

Today, thousands of teachers in J&K face uncertainty, anguish, and the looming threat of termination. While other states are fighting to protect their teachers by filing review petitions before the Supreme Court on the TET issue our government chose silence despite earlier assurances of support.Teachers deserve advocacy and protection, not indifference at a moment that could determine their livelihood and future.

Deeply saddened to hear about the unfortunate accident involving journalist Ubaid Malik in Tangmarg. Praying for his speedy and complete recovery. Journalists work tirelessly in all conditions to keep society informed and such incidents are truly painful. Wishing him strength, good health and a quick return to safety and normalcy. Thoughts and prayers with him and his family.
Sincere appreciation and thanks to Syed @SMAltafBukhari for his compassionate and dignified gesture. His visit to the critically ill Haji Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, his statement seeking relief for Engineer Rashid and now this heartfelt message reflect a rare sense of empathy and responsibility. At a time when the family is going through immense distress, such support carries real meaning. Grateful for standing on humanitarian grounds.
I am moved by the visuals of sitting Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid embracing his ailing father on a hospital bed.
May Almighty Allah grant a speedy recovery to Khazir Mohammad Sheikh Sahib and give his loved ones the strength and patience to endure this difficult time.
On humanitarian grounds, the GoI should allow him to be on his father’s bedside when he is needed the most.
I once again urge the Central Govt to consider his parole so that he can be with his father and other family members in this difficult time.
AIP Holds Emergency Executive Meeting After Bail Rejection, Pins Hope on April 27 Hearing
Srinagar, April 25: The Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) on Saturday convened an emergency meeting of its Executive Council immediately after the dismissal of interim bail to Member of Parliament Er Rashid by the NIA Patiala House Court.
The meeting was attended by AIP General Secretaries Nazir Ahmad Khan and Prince Parveez, Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq, Spokesperson Firdouse Baba and senior leaders including Advocate Javeed Hubbi, Parveez Ahmad Bhat and Nazir Ahmad Mir.
During the meeting, leaders held detailed deliberations on the NIA court’s decision and expressed deep concern over the denial of interim relief, particularly in view of the critical condition of Er Rashid’s father who continues to be on ventilator at SMHS Hospital Srinagar. The participants said such moments call for empathy and a humane approach, especially when it involves a son seeking to be with his ailing parent.
The Executive Council, however, expressed hope regarding the upcoming hearing on the regular bail In Delhi High Court scheduled for April 27, stating that justice must ultimately reflect both fairness and compassion.
AIP leaders urged the authorities to take into account Er Rashid’s position as a sitting Member of Parliament representing Baramulla constituency, which comprises 18 assembly segments and nearly 40 percent of Kashmir’s population. They said the voice of such a large section of people deserves to be heard and respected within democratic institutions.
“Democracy is not only about representation but also about responsiveness. It must carry within it the spirit of compassion, especially in moments of human distress,” the leaders observed, adding that the system must rise to the occasion with sensitivity and balance.
Reiterating their demand for MP Er Rashid’s release, the party leadership expressed cautious optimism about the April 27 hearing. “We remain hopeful that justice will prevail and that Er Rashid will be granted relief, allowing him to be with his family in this difficult time,” they said, while appealing for prayers and support from the people.
AIP expresses deep grief over the tragic Ramnagar–Udhampur bus accident that claimed 15 lives and left several others injured. Our hearts go out to the bereaved families facing an irreplaceable loss.
