The first commercially shown film was in 1895. Taking the uper bounds that means only films made between 1925-2005 are "watchable." That's 80 years of film making. Also, everything else that is horribly wrong with this argument.

You're only engaging with 40 years any decent output. Which means a dozen or so great films a decade.

Essentially, it's an art form that can be appreciated with just 2-3 years of your life and then you can move on.

There's a concept I'd best describe as "Aesthetic sub-genre" where a genera isn't defined by the instrumentation or style of playing but simply the lyrical themes V the aesthetics of the performers. In the metal world "Pirate metal" is probably the best example of this effect.

This song fits that descriptor quite well. Musically the only thing country about this is the lyrical themes, and even then it aligns with a very specific genera of country. Country is a genera that's so much more interesting then the aesthetic this video is selling.
