reasons to abolish Daylight Savings:
- confusing
- widely disliked
- serves no benefit to farmers
- we live in an age where we can have light anytime we want without having to ask Papa if he can spare some of his precious stores of whale oil
@gncgalactus I've been thinking similarly about MAWS! It does SO many things that I normally would dislike, but it does them well. The one thing it chose to do that I 100% would as well is the focus on the Lois romance. : )

@RobinPoedev This was something that bugged me for a while as a kid, but yeah, 'play-fighting' is just such an intrinsic part of humanity that violence in fiction still feels like 'play' even when realistically depicted, so it doesn't inherently provoke moral questions.
@RobinPoedev Also, one game comes to mind which calls attention to this choice, but YOU don't make the choice, your CHARACTER does: Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The main character Noah uses the 'blunt' edge of their blade against humanoids, as a reflection of the party's pacifist ideology.
@RobinPoedev Exactly. A game where this choice is 'made for you', and defeating enemies is not equivalent to killing them but instead knocking them out / etc. wouldn't feel like that kind of commentary, I'd think.
@DarknWindie And likewise, Pokemon, when partnered with trainers, or who grow up around people and civilization, can also learn to "think like a person", and better sympathize with and understand us.
@DarknWindie In my RPG campaigns, I roleplay them inspired by fairies, goblins, and other fokloric creatures. Totally capable of reasoning, but the WAY they reason can be quite alien or unfathomable to people... though it is not incomprehensible, as you can learn to "think like a Pokemon"!
