Among Indian states, only Delhi stands above Karnataka. We are ahead of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. India as a whole still sits at $2,760, classified as a lower middle income country. Karnataka is operating at more than twice the national average.

This did not happen by accident. Karnataka's growth story runs through its farmers, its workers, its startups, its researchers and the millions of women whose household incomes have been directly strengthened by the Congress government's guarantee schemes. 𝐆𝐫𝐮𝐡𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐢, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐢, 𝐆𝐫𝐮𝐡𝐚 𝐉𝐲𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢, 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐮𝐯𝐚 𝐍𝐢𝐝𝐡𝐢 were never just welfare programmes. They were a bet on the purchasing power and dignity of ordinary families, which is exactly what Rahul Gandhi avaru's vision of inclusive growth has always stood for.

Your vote is the most powerful thing you have. Do not let a missed form take it away.

The 𝐒𝐈𝐑 is running in Karnataka from 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒆 𝟑𝟎 to 𝑱𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝟐𝟗. The final voter list will be published on October 7. If your Enumeration Form is not submitted before the deadline, your name will not appear in the draft electoral roll. This is not a formality or optional.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑

A 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 will visit your home and hand you an Enumeration Form. Fill it carefully, verify every detail, sign it, and return it to the 𝐁𝐋𝐎 when they come back. They will visit up to three times so do not panic if you miss the first visit. If your house was locked when they came, they will have left a red circular sticker on your door. A violet square sticker means the form has already been delivered to your household.

No documents are being collected at the door. You only need to fill and return the form. Aadhaar is optional if you wish to provide it.

If you are using the portal for the first time, click Sign Up, enter your mobile number, fill the captcha and verify with the 𝐎𝐓𝐏 you receive. If you already have an account, click Login, enter your mobile number and captcha, and log in with the OTP.

Step 3. After logging in, select Karnataka as your state. Enter your 𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐂 number, which is the number printed on your Voter ID card, and click Search. Your existing voter details will appear on screen.

Step 4. Check every detail carefully. Your name, date of birth, address, and family member details. If something is wrong, correct it here. Once satisfied, submit the form.

Step 5. Save the acknowledgement number that appears after submission. You will need this to check your status later.

This needs to be said clearly. Anyone comparing the clearing of footpath in Bangalore to bulldozer politics of Uttar Pradesh is being dishonest. What happens there is demolition of homes and private properties of targeted people on the basis of their identity.

CM Shri DK Shivakumar Avaru and Minister Shri Krishna Byre Gowda Avaru deserve credit for taking a decision that required genuine political will. The pedestrians dying on Bengaluru’s arterial roads are not wealthy people with cars. They are daily wage workers, domestic workers, school children, people who walk because they have no other option. They are exactly the people progressive politics claims to fight for.

Facts are that only 10% of Bengaluru’s 15,000 km road network has been designated as a vendor-free pedestrian zone. The remaining stays untouched. Nobody is removing street vending from the city. The government is asking that the main arterial roads, where people are getting killed while walking, be made safe to walk on.

Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji got the Street Vendors Protection Act passed in Parliament in 2014 specifically to protect vendors and require cities to create designated vending zones ward by ward. What the government is now asking BBMP and GBA to do is exactly that. The law is working exactly as intended.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಎಸ್‌ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿಶೇಷ ಅನುದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಬರ ಪರಿಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಭದ್ರಾ ಮೇಲ್ದಂಡೆ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಅನುದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಗೃಹನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅನ್ನಭಾಗ್ಯದ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಸಾಲು ಸಾಲು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗನು ದನಿ ಎತ್ತಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಾದ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯೂ ಹೌದು.
