Karnataka is taking AI beyond Bengaluru and into rural libraries, schools and communities.

The first batch of 2,000 AI-ready KEO PCs, priced at ₹18,999, is set for rollout.

These systems will support:

AI literacy, spoken English, digital skills, competitive exam preparation,
prompt engineering, and Karnataka State Board learning content for Classes 6–10.

The larger vision under https://t.co/Owc3EmHl9p and https://t.co/dUVxHIKgQ2 is to deploy AI systems across 239 taluks, ensuring that rural students and youth are not left behind in the AI revolution.

What makes this initiative powerful is its last-mile impact. These AI PCs are designed to work even in areas with weak internet connectivity, giving students in rural Karnataka access to tools that were once limited to urban and connected spaces.

This is not just a technology rollout. It is a step towards reducing the digital divide, creating AI-ready youth, strengthening rural learning infrastructure and ensuring that the future of technology belongs to every child in Karnataka.

Have directed city police officials to issue notices to all pubs, breweries, bars, clubs, lounges, restaurants and liquor-serving establishments to strictly prevent underage entry and underage drinking.

A recent study covering 4,093 students in Bengaluru, has raised serious concerns:

1 in 3 adolescents are at risk of health issues due to alcohol or tobacco use.
33% reported alcohol use.

Nearly 18% reported tobacco addiction.

The median age of starting alcohol consumption was 17 years, with some cases reported as early as 8 years.

This is not just a licensing issue. It is a youth safety and public-health issue.

All liquor-serving establishments must implement strict age-verification protocols at entry and before service.

Key directions:

- No valid ID, no entry

- Mandatory government-issued age proof

- Strict action against establishments serving minors

- Owners, managers and licence holders will be held accountable

- Entry-point CCTV must be functional and footage preserved

- Police coordination with institutions, RWAs and citizen groups

Commercial profit cannot come at the cost of the safety and future of our children.

Karnataka will follow a zero-tolerance approach against establishments that enable it.

No ID. No Entry. No underage drinking.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಖಾಲಿ ಇರುವ ��ೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಾನ್‌ಸ್ಟೇಬಲ್ (ಸಿವಿಲ್) ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ನೇಮಕಾತಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವೃಂದ (596) ಮತ್ತು ಉಳಿದ ಮೂಲ ವೃಂದಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು 3995 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಾನ್‌ಸ್ಟೇಬಲ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಯ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಅವಕಾಶವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಒಳಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿರುವ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಖಾಲಿ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ ರೋಸ್ಟರ್ ಬಿಂದುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರಕಲಿದೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಯುವಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ, ಅರ್ಹತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು, ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ನಿವಾರಣೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅವಕಾಶವಂಚಿತ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆಶಯ. ಈ ನೇಮಕಾತಿಯು ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯು ಯುವಜನರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Kalaburagi Rotti, a product deeply rooted in my region’s identity and food culture, is now reaching global markets.

I recently flagged off the first export consignments of Kalaburagi Rotti to Australia, USA and Canada. Export volumes are expected to reach 10,000 rotis per month each to the US and Australia and 5,000 per month to Canada. Around 1,000 women from over 100 local Self-Help Groups are today part of this growing ecosystem.

Over the last two years, our Government has worked systematically to build the Kalaburagi Rotti brand by providing 150+ rotti-making machines at subsidised rates to women SHGs and entrepreneurs, facilitating CSR support and enabling packaging, labelling and branding support. Kalaburagi Rotti has also been available on platforms like Swiggy, Zomato and Amazon.

This initiative is helping create stronger rural enterprises, enhanced incomes and greater economic self-reliance for the women of my district.

A matter of great pride for all of us!

Now that the elections are over, PM Modi has suddenly remembered “nation first.”

After years of economic mismanagement, rising prices, weak jobs, import dependence and failed foreign policy, the burden is being shifted back to ordinary citizens in the name of patriotism.

Citizens are being told:

- Don’t buy gold.
- Use less petrol and diesel.
- Cut down cooking oil.
- Reduce fertiliser use.
- Stop buying foreign brands.
- Avoid foreign travel.

In other words, the Government failed to manage the economy, so the people must now adjust their lives.

When votes were needed, there were slogans. When accountability is needed, there are appeals.

This is damage control dressed up as patriotism.

Why is it that people only show up with brickbats and never bouquets, even for a job well done?

In just the past few months, global players Mistral AI, Google, Harvey, ElevenLabs, Disney, ANTHROPIC among others have chosen to invest in our State. These are real, tangible commitments, not speculative headlines. Yet there is complete silence from those who are otherwise eager to amplify every rumour of a “missed opportunity.”

Have you Bhakts paused to acknowledge or congratulate the Government of Karnataka for delivering actual results?

The pattern is obvious.
Hypothetical losses are weaponised for outrage. Concrete gains are conveniently ignored. This selective narrative is not accidental, it is extremely political.

As a State, we have extended full cooperation to every initiative of the Government of India, rising above party lines in the larger national interest. Yet, when it comes to national platforms such as the AI Summit, the IT Ministers of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are excluded.
No invitations!!
What explains this deliberate sidelining of States that are, in reality, driving India’s technology and innovation story?

Despite the pettiness of Modi Sarkar, we continue to perform. We continue to attract investment. We continue to scale. We continue to align with the vision for India.

But the question remains, when will you and BJP politicians stand up for the State instead of applauding political exclusion?

Why is it so difficult for the Government of India to recognise and showcase the contributions of States that are actively propelling the country’s growth narrative? Why is it so difficult for you to call out the Modi Sarkar?

The silence of the Bhakts on the exclusion and the double standards make one thing abundantly clear, all of you are more interested in pleasing the Delhi Durbar by prostrating than in celebrating our State’s success.

PS: Listen to the startups, exhibitors and more importantly the foreign delegates on their opinion about the #IndiaAIImpactSummit2026. You will not need AI, just common sense to understand this debacle.

Also, I still have’nt spoken on the opportunities the State has missed because of the extreme mismanagement of the Central Government.

I have issued a clear directive banning the promotion of tobacco products on public buses and at bus stations across the state.

No form of tobacco product advertising will be allowed on government-run buses or within bus terminal premises. This includes visual promotions, posters, stickers, or any branding related to tobacco products.

I have also instructed officials to immediately remove all such advertisements that are already in place.
