Punk Pavel Durov got arrested. Why? Because he built a P2P social media app where people could exchange words without the worry of surveillance.
He gave the power back to the people, creating an encrypted communication channel for them.
The usage of such tools could be subjective, but it’s mainly for the greater good of user privacy, which is more important than anything else in this world.
Arresting him in the name of providing a platform to bad actors is a stupid argument. It's akin to arresting Vitalik for building Ethereum because any scammer can launch a memecoin on it and scam people.
Such stupid arguments completely dodge the major benefits, so people always get the bad side. We should not keep quiet now—start the protest, make a daily trend of #FREEDUROV, and raise funds for him like we all did for Assange in the past.
It’s a fight between crypto and evil governments, and you need to choose the crypto side as it promises a long-term better future.
@bootiyapa quite some time later i think according to internet. speculation is end of the year /worse early next year. so im probably too early to catch up but been wanting to rewatch anyway

@Priyanshi50 explains why there are protests in #Ladakh and their struggle for democracy.

Some months ago, I interviewed climate activist #SonamWangchuk about Ladakh's issues and why it needs 6th Schedule.
He is on a fast for over 2 weeks demanding proper constitutional rights for the UT of Ladakh.
Here is his answer on 6th Schedule demand.
#SaveLadakh#SixthSchedule
On March 6, Sonam Wangchuk, a Ramon Magsaysay awardee, commenced his fast unto death demanding 6th schedule status for Ladakh, citing pressure from industrial and mining lobbies.
