Happy Pride Month! 🌈
Pride Month is a time to celebrate the contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ people in our communities and workplaces.
This Pride Month, let's continue working toward workplaces where everyone belongs, every month of the year!
As National AccessAbility Week wraps up, we'd like to thank the businesses, organizations, and community leaders who are striving to make their workplaces, services, and spaces more accessible and inclusive.
We hope you have a restful weekend with the best vibes possible. 💙
At InclusionNL we help businesses become more accessible. That means making sure everyone can take part - at work, in the community and everywhere else.
Let's keep working together on "building a strong, accessible Canada" where access is expected and inclusion is for everyone!💙
Happy National AccessAbility Week!
This week is a time to celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities and recognize the importance of accessibility in our communities.
During this week we encourage businesses to continue building spaces where all people feel included.
💸Disabled workers earned $2.22 less per hour
💸On average, disabled workers earn 93.8% that of non-disabled workers, which drops to 91.2% when looking at the weekly gap where disabled employees get fewer hours
💸This is nearly $6000 less annually for the SAME work

We've talked about the Disability Pay Gap before, but sadly things have not improved. Disabled workers still earn less per hour and week than their non-disabled counterparts. And the gap is growing because wages for people with disabilities didn't rise as quickly either.

Whether you're planning on visiting nature, visiting friends or visiting your favorite streaming service, we hope you have a blast! And maybe some s'mores!

Lie: People are disabled because they make poor lifestyle choices.
Truth: Disability isn't a choice!
Some disabilities are genetic, some are due to accident or illness.
The truth is that regardless of past choices or behavior, everyone deserve support, respect and accessibility!
